Posted - Feb 03 2010 : 5:52:10 PM Hey Farmgirls, What do you like to wear day to day? Or what do you wear day to day?? For me it's a pretty long skirt, a apron and a sweat shirt. That's mostly around home but I will wear pants. I just like skirts better!!!! Hugs, Channah

Posted - Feb 27 2010 : 8:05:54 PM I agree with Jessie- Jeans and a T-shirt or Jeans and a sweatshirt. Dressing up for me is wearing a shirt with buttons, and putting on my "Town" boots! :-)

Posted - Feb 25 2010 : 9:12:51 PM lately, I'm in jeans most days, occasionally a longish skirt with leggings underneath. I am so cold in the winter, I need warmth! I usually wear sweaters or a layered t-shirt/sweatshirt or sweater.again- I am cold most of the time ,so layers help with that. In the summer I generally wear skirts of capris and a t-shirt. |

Posted - Feb 23 2010 : 09:59:10 AM When I'm at home its usually sweats , leggings and t-shirts and sun dresses in the summer! I tend to favour long dresses and skirts a lot and accidentally went to a doctor's appointment that I was going to be late for wearing an apron...he thought it was hilarious! I wear one of my beloved aprons when ever I'm in the kitchen or garden too! I like flat shoes and big hats =)

Posted - Feb 23 2010 : 09:38:27 AM At home I usually wear very conforable things, like sweatshirt or tee and nice soft pants. Jeans hurt my skin to much or I'd be wearing them. When I do get out, I try to somewhat CLASSY! haha

Posted - Feb 23 2010 : 07:46:28 AM I enjoy wearing skirts & dresses. Just made myself a new skirt yesterday and I LOVE how it turned out! Love the thick tights and flannel slips this time of year! I'm enjoying reading what others enjoy wearing as well.

Posted - Feb 23 2010 : 03:56:31 AM I've taken to skirts almost everyday, unless I'm outside with the kids or doing work...then its the Carhart bibs. (Too much snow!) Skirts are far more comfortable, more forgiving...and make me feel like I'm an original farmgirl! :) There's something about baking bread in a long skirt that makes everything go better. ;)

Posted - Feb 22 2010 : 8:34:06 PM Skirts and dresses every day here. I love them. I agree with Kim...more comfortable than jeans. In the winter we just add layers underneath for outside chores. Can't wait for warmer temps. Then I pull out the comfy, cotton dresses and skirts and t-shirts. I'm needing to get going with the sewing machine and make a few more.

Posted - Feb 10 2010 : 3:33:04 PM I love to wear T-shirt dress that flare, apron, sweater, around the house and garden. If I will be doing heavy or dirty work it's bibs and T-shirts all the way. For work it's jeans and some kind of top that is not form fitting or attractive with tennis shoes. But when I get the chance I LOVE to dress up. High heels, fancy clothes (all bought from second hand stores for under $5.00), antique jewelry, a cool hand bag and a hat. At 50, I still enjoy playing dress up!

Posted - Feb 08 2010 : 06:00:12 AM Jeans in winter because I bike a lot, lol. AND we are `not allowed` to wear skirts during working hrs. due to the biking (IF you know what I mean lol) Love skirts in spring and summer (after work)
LONG skirts, shorter above the knee skirts in the summer......In winter I sometimes wear skirts to church . Long ones with boots, shorter (above the knee) with very warm woolen panty hose and boots

Posted - Feb 06 2010 : 07:48:10 AM T-shirts and shorts. I love skirts, too. I like loose baggy clothes which do nothing for my figure. I also wear birks every day. In winter in Colorado you just wear them with socks. When I am at home when its cold I will wear long jersey type pants...essentially thin sweats. I dont find jeans particularly comfortable. |

Posted - Feb 04 2010 : 07:47:49 AM Comfy jeans, and some kind of top - I try to wear something not to bulky and frumpy; but when it is cold and chores have to be done (horses, woodpile, gathering eggs from hither and yon, etc.)I usually end up in a big sweatshirt and bulky chore coat. Wintertime is so uninspiring for me, in the clothes/"farmstyle" department. :( In the summertime, I wear sundresses even to do chores, or cute capris!! Ya, summertime!!

Posted - Feb 04 2010 : 05:38:38 AM For me, a favorite pair of jeans, t-shirt topped with my favorite denim shirt. Comfortable, easy to move around in while doing my outside chores. Unfortunately a long skirt, although I love to wear them, is not practical in the wintertime here... snow is very deep and many times I need to be in snow pants while outside in the minus 20 weather.
Spring is coming so I can then wear my favorite long skirt and jumper!

Posted - Feb 03 2010 : 7:22:17 PM I am with you. I have always liked skirts better. I have started wearing more pant since I work with horses everyday. But I much prefer skirts or comfy dresses. Even living in a cold climate I wore skirts or dresses with heavy tights. Long loose floaty skirts are the best. I just found a new pattern I am going to try for some spring/summer skirts. I am going to make them a bit shorter though because then I can wear them out to feed and clean stalls. Not for riding though. Even as much as I dislike pants I hate shorts.
