A serious faux pas on my part today. I am so ready to look nice and fit into my own clothes, that when I was able to button a pair of my jeans, I thought I'd wear them all day.
Now, I am paying for it. Apparently, my poor body is not ready to admit pregnancy is over and rebelled against my jeans wearing. lol

So my thought for myself for the day....if you gotta cram it in, it aint gonna be pretty..LOL

hugs,
Jessie

When I was in La Leche League in the early 90's, a little anecdote came out in the newsletter. One of the mother's wrote something like this-
My three year old daughter looked up and said wistfully, " Mom, when I grow up, I want to have a big bottom just like you."

When I was a new mom, I read the great news that in a survey of fathers, the outcome was this- fathers were as attracted to their partners after childbirth as before, if not more so. It was the mothers who FELT unattractive! Crazy.

OMG, Amy! Coffee almost came out of my nose when I just read that!! Out of the mouths of babes. Could I please borrow your son for a confidence boost because he would think I was super cool, too!

I forgot - my almost 6 year old said to me the other day, "Mom...I wish I had a stripey tummy like yours. It's so cool."

Gosh, I didn't know stretch marks would ever be cool. He's a keeper!

LOL!!! The muffin top thing makes me laugh everytime I hear it.

Isn't it funny how you can be the same weight but its all distributed differently. Ah, the joys of growing up. :)

I have gotten back to my pre-pregnancy weight everytime after giving birth. But that weight just isn't in the same spots it used to be!! I have a couple of jeans I'm sporting quite the Muffin Top!! LOL! Give it time, you'll get back in those pants.

I had to wear baggies for a month or so after my c-sect. My muscles just werent ready to bounce back....they still havent entirely bounced back...my son is almost 4 and I am 47. We are hitting the pool to exercise!

I don't think its probably a good idea to be putting tight jeans over a c- section. You might want to consider the moo moo outfit for a few weeks. HA

Hehe...I wish I was a sweet size 6. I haven't been that since before I had my first baby. I keep in mind that we are all made differently, and that to squeeze in my sweet size 12s is not the end of the world.
I did have a c-section, but somehow, it didn't seem to matter. Once I rolled those jeans on and they buttoned without (only a bit of) trouble, I didn't want them off. My tiny victory in a war I can not control. I wore them proudly until I took them off to get some relief and couldn't unbend. I imagined it was the perfect position for having just had my bottom kicked by my wranglers..haha! ;D
I'm not too worried about getting into my previous size, after all I spent 9 months earning these curves. ;)I could wear them proudly if only I could wear them in a pair of pants that fit rather than these sweats...lol

Thanks for the encouragement girls!! <3
love ya
Jess

Yeah, I'm back down to my pre-pregnancy weight but still can't fit in my old jeans quite right. My hips have not gone back to their previous shape. My midwife said they might fall back into place when I'm finished nursing. We'll see...right now I'm just resigning to the fact that I may never be a size 2 again. After my first two, I thought I was invincible, but I guess it's that third one that did me in LOL! I'm perfectly happy with my healthy size 6 figure.

And Jessie, didn't you have a C-section? I can imagine that would make it even more uncomfortable to cram into those skinny jeans too LOL! You poor thing. Don't do that to yourself. Enjoy some sweats for a little while. You just had a baby. You deserve it! :)

LOL Carol, me too.

I've made friends with my new body. Finally. Its been six years since my youngest was born. And even though the scale might say I'm *around* the same size, my body is totally different.

I've also made friends with flowing, farmish skirts. ;) That helps immensely.

Hang in there, Jessie. And keep your sense of humor!!
