I have light blue/gray eyes. I use a cream eyeshadow from Clinque. It is a great light cover and it lasts all day. I use the pink, the tan, and the brown if I go out. It is in a tube. Very easy to carry.

You use such a small amount that it lasts forever. It just gives that extra touch without over doing it.

I am not a huge makeup wearer.

I second the mineral make-up. That's what I use too.

I have blue eyes too & recently started using mineral make-up that is taupe/plum light & dark version. I love it & it goes with just about everything I wear because it just brings out my eyes and doesn't look like a crazy color.

Oh...another tip that makes all the difference. Use brushes and not the little eye shadow applicators that come with the eye shadows. Brushes make a much better blended end result. I never knew that when I was in my teens and so everything was always thick and uneven looking.

Oh that would be so neat Siobhan! You could be the big sister I never had and you could show me all those neat things! My mom doesn't wear make-up so I have been trying to teach myself how to do it. lol And I think you just hit the hammer on the nail Siobhan! I have been putting the dark eye shadow on my lower lids. lol I will be trying your way now and will let you know how it looks! :)
Thanks so much big sister!
Hugs!

I have light eye envy too LOL! I have what I call "poopy brown" eyes :) Two of my three sons have my DH's blue eyes though. What are the odds?

Channah, I wish you lived close. You could be like the little sister I never had and I could show you how to put on eye shadow and make your eyes look beautiful! Definitely don't put anything dark on your lower part of your eyelids other than eyeliner. Darks only go in the crease. Also, don't put on eye liner too thick. That used to be "the thing" back in the 80's but now, less is more. You definitely don't want to look like you have black eyes LOL! I typically use a dark brown eye shadow and an eyeliner brush for eyeliner rather than the black pencil type things. It's much more subtle and natural and kinda smokey looking. Try that.

Nicole, I am sure you have just beautiful eyes! My sisters eyes are brown and so are my brothers. My dad has beautiful hazel ones and me and my mom have blue eyes. :)

Yep! Absolutely agree with Siobhan! If you use a nice light color like cream nearest your lower eyelid your eyes will pop. Any color that looks earthy is just great!! I use shades of brown myself :D

You lucky girl! I love blue eyes. My husband has pretty aqua ones and my daughter's are hazel green. Mine are brown, so I guess I have light eye envy, LOL!

Browns and peachy colors go best with blue eyes, Channah. :) They make them "pop".
