Posted - Jun 26 2010 : 04:30:39 AM I love long full skirts but my body type (short and full) is not condusive to such a fashionable look. I've seen people pull it off but I can't. You look beautiful in your's, though. Nice touch with the stockings and boots, too.
Oh, yeah, and I LOVE the dog. No photo is complete without some four-legged animal in it. :) |

Posted - Jun 23 2010 : 10:23:48 AM Oh, the gathering on this was AWFUL! It felt like 1/2 a mile of fabric....and it was probably only 1/4 of a mile. :) Actually, I think it was just 20 feet. Doesn't sound like that much when you write it out!

Posted - Jun 22 2010 : 10:35:59 AM Thanks, everyone! I'm thinking of doing a tutorial on my blog, of how to make a skirt like it. It's really quite simple...just some math! I made it out of 3 yards of 60 inch fabric.

Posted - Jun 21 2010 : 7:05:11 PM I LOVE it! Would love the pattern! I haven't sewn since middle school so I'll be new at sewing soon. I need help! But, this is exactly the kind of stuff I NEED to learn to sew. The stores don't carry stuff like this any more, and I'm very conservative christian. And would love some like this for church!

Posted - Jun 21 2010 : 4:02:45 PM i loved the action shot. It brought back memories of when I was a little kid the one dress I had that would spin like that, such fun! I enjoy the feeling of wearing a long skirt now too.

Posted - Jun 21 2010 : 2:09:07 PM Absolutely LOVE that skirt! and I think its so great that you got to have a fun photo shoot with Dave. don't you hate it when they don't tell you when they are taking the pictures? My husband does that sometimes and he gets some really goofy shots of me. Then again...sometimes they turn out really good too! Thanks for posting :)
