Posted - Feb 01 2012 : 6:17:32 PM My favorite pair of work gloves are made of deer skin. I am an animal lover and this freaked me out at first, but they do keep my hands warm and they're great protection when lifting bales of hay, etc.

Posted - Feb 03 2012 : 5:22:37 PM Hey Karen,
Where in NC are you? I live in Gastonia, near Charlotte, and have property near Morganton where we are going to build us a little camping cabin very soon. Maybe retire up there.

Posted - Feb 02 2012 : 09:40:21 AM I use deer skin gloves when I'm riding, protects hands without being bulky, and I can still feel like I'm not wearing any...when a hunter uses all parts of a deer, with not waste, I have no problem, I am also a hunter for meat, trophy hunting is what I am against...
I get my riding gloves at a feed/tack store, and my leather work gloves at Lowes...

Posted - Feb 01 2012 : 9:13:25 PM Deer skin gloves were my favorite too, finally wore then out and have not replaced them yet. If I'm not buying locally, I check Sierra Trading Post first.
