Rea, I am glad that someone else said it before I got a chance! I have badges that I need to apply for, and the plan is to get some of them done each month! I have quite a few. This will be a great year to get this done!

Well, yesterday I was finally able to sit down and apply for some of the badges that I have been working on this past year! I still have a few more, but was able to make a dent in my applications.
Yippee!

Krista, that's a really good question. I think I'd like to start the Dyeing for Colour badge. I do a lot of dyeing for my business, but that's just one type of dyeing. I do dyeing with my 4H kids, so that would be the Beginner level, I just would need to write that up. During Covid, I started a natural dye course online and I'd really like to finish that up this year which would take care of the Intermediate level. I haven't tried quite a few of the techniques for the Expert level or it's been ages (tie-dye). This would help me with my goal to finish the course.

Great plan, Jill! Go for it! I don't do dyeing yet, but I have made socks from yarn that I bought from a woman who spins yarn from the sheep that she raises on her farm.
Hope to hear more as you progress with the badge!

Jill, that sounds like a great badge to get started on. I hope you can get them completed.

Great job Nancy! I bet it feels great to have them all applied for.

Hi, All! Who do I e-mail if I want to borrow a book from the Farmgirl Library? And I have a few books to donate. Where do I send them? Working on more badges now that the Holidays have passed!

I pulled my macrame back out and have been working on it all week. I am so close to having it finished. I only have 6 tiny spots left to tie and then cut the strings to the right length. I am excited to finally have it finished and another badge complete! This will be my project for the weekend.

Way to go Krista! I got a macrame book for Christmas so I'll be working on that badge soon. Right now I'm learning some origami. Fun, but a little more challenging that I expected it to be!

Way to go, Krista! Can't wait to see a pic! You make such cute things! I am almost finished piecing the Quilt of Valor that I have been working on for so long. I am down to the last couple of blocks in the last row. I will attach them and add the borders.

Krista - can you post a photo of your macrame project when you've finished it? We'd love to see it. My Mum used to do a lot of macrame when I was a kid - we had her amazing macrame projects all over the house. I have asked her to show me how to do it, so once we get settled in our new house, we'll have a day together & I can adorn the kitchen with one of those beautiful macrame pot plant holders.

It's finished!!

Now I just need to apply for the badge.

Heather, I think you will really like macrame. I still have my expert origami to do. I just dont know what to make yet.

Way to go, Nancy! You will be done in no time!

Cindy, I cant wait to see what you and your mom make. Macrame is actually pretty relaxing.

Krista, it's beautiful! Thanks for sharing all of your amazing projects. I can't wait to finish my quilt so that I can show it off. It has been a long time coming.
I also have a few more badges that need only a bit to finish them. Maybe I can complete all of this soon. I have learned so much being a farmgirl!

Nancy, thank you! I look forward to seeing your quilt and hearing about your badges.

Debbie, I ordered it as a kit. It came with all the materials and instructions. Here is the link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HVYJMZR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
