I am now over 2 squares long! This is going to be a big piece! I am going to need to make a yarn run.

Nancy, I knew this piece was going to be 5 squares long, but it doesn't seem that long until you start to make it!

Amazing, Krista! I need to post a photo of my butterfly sweater. My 20 yr. old Granddaughter and I each made one in different colors. They are really cute. My took so much longer than I thought it would to complete, and I still need to stitch the sections together! Brooklyn has been wearing hers already! She works so quickly!

I’ve been spending some time in my craft room as of late. Here are some of the cards that I have been working on. :)

Krista - I didn't realize the boarder was a design as well! Can't wait to see it come together.

Nancy - Can't wait to see your sweater!

Karen - What fun cards! Where do you get your parts and pieces to make your cards?

Thanks, Heather. It was fun to make, but it took me so much longer to finish it. My Granddaughter is such a whizz at crochet!

Nancy, I can't wait to see it!

Karen, your cards are beautiful! You did such a great job.

Heather, the bottom border will be the castle. I think it will look really neat.

Thank you! :) I love using ink and paper and making cards!

Krista-can’t wait to see the project all finished!
Heather-I get my stuff from just about any where! lol. I was a Close to my Heart consultant for 15 years…so must of my cardstock is from my time with the company. They closed their doors a few years ago. I have a bit of a shopping addiction….so I shop at local craft stores, Amazon, and at individual/small businesses that are online. Scrapbook. Com has a great collection of Papercrafting supplies and the shipping is very fast. I also do a lot of one day events through different companies. These events have a kit with stamps, dies, embossing folders, etc. Then you just supply the different ink colors and colored cardstocks. You Tube is a great place to find new techniques and ideas!

Karen, I inherited a ton of stamps from my MIL about a year ago and they all say Close to my Heart! I had no clue they were a specific scrapbook company. That is so awesome you got to be a part of the company for 15 years.

Just a little tidbit about Close to my Heart…They were the pioneering company behind photo polymer stamps (we called acrylic stamps)! The “Recipe’ for those stamps has not been sold off. When the company closed they choose to keep the recipe a secret! :)

That's a fun fact, Karen! I'm surprised they didn't sell the recipe.

Krista - what a great inheritance LOL!

Karen, that is a really neat fun fact. I wonder why they chose to keep it a secret.

Heather, I agree! I love using them on many of my cards. So many of them are still unused.

Karen, your cards look so professional. If I was younger, I'd dive in, but have had to say no to beginning more crafts.
However, voila! My purple quilt is all done!
