Thanks Krista and Judith! It goes pretty fast - until I realize I dropped a stitch or added an extra yarn over lol. Definitely not a pattern I can totally space out with even though it is rhythmic.

It has been a month and I am still working on the dogs lol! It seems like I will crochet for an hour but only accomplish one row! I decided to make them both at the same time rather than finish one and start the next. I am starting to get close, so hopefully only a couple more weeks. I am ready to enlist another crocheter if anyone wants to visit!!

Our local Dollar General sells Cozy Craft pipe cleaner kits. So far I've made 3: a bluebird in a nest, a brown puppy, and this cute kitten, who looks like our Karl Catnip.

It looks like Karl Catnip is eyeing it as a new kitty toy.

In this picture he must have thought it was a different kind of mouse.
The last animal the Dollar General has is a wise owl, so I may get that today.

My daughter-in-law made me a cute little felted kitty. I thought I had it on a high enough shelf but they found it one night and destroyed it. It appears that no place it high enough to cats.

I have been working on repairs on a quilt. Here it is:

She had had several repairs previously on the quilt which consisted of wide machine sewn zig zag stitches to bind the ripped seams which extended all the way through the layers. I decided to cover all the seams with ribbon, seam tape or bias strips - some I constructed by hand. I removed the red ties for the repair then replaced them after the repair. Here are some of my favorite repairs:

Her mother made this quilt out of all the scraps from the clothes made for the siblings. As everyone can see, it is not perfect and it doesn't have to be. The lady was so happy to see it repaired that she gave me more than I had asked for the repair.

Today I put a lining in a pair of curtains I made about 8 years ago. I used a new white single sheet for the lining. I still need to hem them, but I like how they turned out.

Good job Linda!
When my sister got married my mother and I made the bridesmaids dresses out of curtains (new ones) as we couldn't find the color she wanted in the fabric store.

It took me 12 years but I finally finished this one. Halfway through quilting it 11 years ago I injured my back so it sat waiting until this year when I finally could finish it. It's 90 inches square and weighs a ton.

Thank you. I really love doing this kind of sewing. It's similar to applique.
