I threw down some wildflower seeds this spring in the garden and most of the seeds never sprouted, but I had some poppy seeds that did! They are so pretty! I have always loved the red ones but now that I have pink and white I love them just as much.

Sadly our wind gets a little too strong for these delicate flowers and they lose all their petels.

Poppies are pretty. You will have lots of seed you can collect and save.

I love how 'my' poppies just sort of pop up willy-nilly in my Iris patch and my garden..
My all time favorites are the orange "California' poppies... Gee, I wonder why? heeheehee!

Those are really pretty! I'll have to look into them and see if they'll do well here.

We have frilly, ruffled pink poppies! I love them! If you would like some seed heads, let me know. I’m trying to collect them all. They just need to be scattered end of September/early October

Karen, I would love some please! Do you just throw them down like the wildflower seed packets?

Ohhh Krista, those are beautiful summer blooms!! I love that rich bright color which stands out when many flowers are struggling to keep alive in this brutal heat.

Winnie, I have had even more start to open. I am so happy my flowers are staying alive. We have been warm but starting next week we will start to cool off.

That's beautiful! It looks great with the others in the background - are they morning glories?

Oh I really love poppies too and it does not matter what color. I have loved them since I first saw the Wizard of Oz when I was 12 or 13:-) And I continue to watch the movie 2 or 3 times a year. I Love It:-)

Heather, they are Blue Flax! They are very pretty but also very delicate. Everleigh will try to pick some to bring inside but the petals always fall off.

Thank you Nancy!

Debbie, that is the same as me! The Wizard of Oz is a favorite of mine! I was probably around 6 the first time I watched it and I remember being afraid of the witch lol! But I still loved it. As a younger teen I would watch it almost nightly to fall asleep. Now my kids love it too.
