I thought this would be a comfortable and cheerful skirt.

Thank you. Luckily for the pockets I could cut the one piece in half to have identical pockets.

Linda, I love that cute skirt you made too. What a fun and colorful idea to use those squares. You will be the Kitchen Queen with that apron.

So on page 6 you will see the blanket I have been working on for a few years hoping my Neice Victoria would have a girl, she did not. She had another boy Howie. He is a little doll and we love him so much. Well, I decided to keep working on the blanket and finally get it done. Who knows my Neice getting married in October may have a little girl down the line. We will see:-)
It is folder over and I am adding the border. It’s fun to know u am almost finished :-)

Pretty blanket Debbie, one similar was given to me when Will was born. The aunt that gifted it apologized for the pink, but I told her that didn’t matter to us. Hand crocheting is always a treasure to keep.

Here are several UFOs I finished this week:
I got these 3 quilts back from the Longarm Quilter, and I put binding on them.

This Quilt uses the salvages, that are normally thrown away from fabric. Here is a close-up of a few of the stars and a picture of the label on the back.

I also finished this Souvenir tea towel skirt. The pictures show the front and the back. The front has Irish songs and New Zealand Kiwi towels, and the back has London and Portugal. Since they are gathered around the waistband, I can switch front and back at any time. Just move them around. LOL! I have had the London, Kiwi, and Irish towels for over 10 years. The Portugal towel I just got in March when we were there.

I think this will be fun to wear on our cruises. We have one land trip and three cruises on the schedule for the rest of this year and one additional cruise is scheduled for next April.
On our Jordan, Egypt, and Spain trips last year and this year it was very hard to find souvenir tea towels. I don’t know if they’ve lost their popularity as souvenirs or what. I was finally able to find a couple tea towels in Egypt and I’m trying to decide how to put them with other souvenir towels that I have. They are quite a bit longer than other tea towels I still have towels from England, Germany, Italy, and from long-ago trips. I haven’t seen any of the calendar type of tea towels in a long time either.

Another UFO bites the dust. I cannot do mini skirts, but denim ones (this is really a skort because it has shorts under it) make great tops for an added fabric skirt. A thrift store skort with added estate sale fabric makes a comfortable skirt.
