okay..i have had some time with my husband and some sleep.....time to make the super iced mochas and start cracking the whips on my stolen and enslaved apron sewing fairies...sorry Bev..maybe I will return them to you at RenFaire...hope E sent ya the link, if not shoot me an email.

Time to sew up the last of that weird bunch of treadle born reversible hard working aprons and send them away!

Love the vintage ebay apron..maybe i need to do some embroidery on a deloicate little apron!

Bev...I am a couple hours from the RenFaire...and like 4 or 5 from Elizabeth I think...could be a little less from her.

G...stop biting your nails..I do that..horrid addiction! But, you know everything in my life goes that way..adiction addiction addiction!

I'm going on a fabric hunting mission today disquised
as a trip up to visit my son in college. Sure, I'll be
forced to cover my covert actions whilst baking cookies
for him, but I'll slip out under the guise of having to
"buy more sugar", and bop into Joann's. First though, I'll
be a "door buster" at Hobby Lobby before I hit his doorstep.
I don't know why, but fabric shopping in smaller towns
always seems more exotic to me~or maybe it's the country music
they play there......

Still not at the sewing machine today. Went to see the treadle yesterday....It was ok, but not great enough for me to shell out $100.

It had a nice shuttle and bobbin (vibrating kind) It was a 1921-1923 Singer Sphinx, made in Elisabethtown, NJ.

No attachments and the bobbin winder wasn't really working properly (this is an essential for me to buy one of these oldies.) There was also a pretty serious catch when the flywheel was turned (it was inside the machine) So as beautiful as it was, no go for me yesterday. I am not opposed to restoring it,but this one was a wee bit too far gone for the money. I offered $50 and they wouldn't. I even said if you had the attachments I'd be glad to pay $100. The wood in the table was a bit dry rotted too. It really wasn't taken well care of. Well off to take the girls to see Hairspray.

Amy............ouch!!!! Get some rest and kiss Cary for me!! I love his movie: Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House

Jess and Bonne.................Love the mugs. I'll have to snap a photo of the one my daughter made for me. I use it every day!! LOVE it.

Bev....don't work too hard. Let your company grab a rag and pitch in. Oh, and are we all going to chip in and rent a porta-potty outhouse for Apronstock 2008? We should design aprons and t-shirts for it!! o

E.....loved the Apronstock 2008 fabric!!! Is that going to be the official apron fabric?

Oh, I know I'm missing making comments..........please forgive me. I'm really tired today.

See ya'll later.

The coffee mugs reminded me of this lady...http://cgi.ebay.com/DRINK-COFFEE-Do-Stupid-Things-Faster-Metal-Tin-Sign_W0QQitemZ250147483830QQihZ015QQcategoryZ14309QQcmdZViewItem

that is a metal sign, but I've seen tea towels with that print and a couple of other cute sayings!

My sewing machine needs to go to see the doctor. sigh.....I was sewing last night, and it was fine, then after a bobbin change, the stitching wasn't the same. I tried with a different thread, bobbin, etc. and it is even worse.

The place where I bought the sewing machine had a good repairman, but the quilt shop moved to Arizona. Thank goodness, there is another shop and the repairman is working there. He is very good, and I usually don't have to wait a couple of weeks for it to be fixed.

Hey Sharon....what type of bobbin are you using? I have had problems with the underside stitches when I use metal bobbins....so I stick with plastic. Also...make sure your thread is tight in the bobbing holder......

Amy......OUCH!!! I am so sorry you had to go through that.....how miserable. Take it easy today.....sewing is the most taxing thing you should attempt!

Bonnie.....cute signs....I do enough stupid things without help!

Nice mugs (no, I did not say jugs) girls....now....believe it or not, I drink no coffee or tea.....you all know how much I try to get done every day.....and am always going in 50 different directions....all without caffeine. If I added caffeine, I would probably have a heart attack!! Chocolate is the drug of choice, here.

G.....FUNNY....we don't need no stinkin porta potty!!!!! I have 5 bathrooms (4 showers and 1 tub, too) at the farm.....I think we are covered...and you all will have all the modern conveniences. We even have electricity! And there is always the woods. Actually, the guys pee around the beehives to keep the bears away.....sure hope they never P.....off a bee.......OUCH!!

Sharon....mail coming your way!

Jess, you apron minx you, send me back my fairies....by the time you're done with them they won't be good for anything!!! Haven't you heard of the fairy labor laws!!!!

G.....snap out of the bad mood! We LOVE you and that is enough to make anybody happy!!!!

Ok back.... from all of our appt gocery shopping.... and I could load the kids in the car and do some fabric shopping while Bill is in Cincinnati picking up the tent. I just bought a peroid tent... 12x12 canvas. It was less than I thought, SO I have a little extra cash!!! I think I am going to need a fabric fix.

Bev... Why would I be mad, I just assume that you are seeing the same fabric I do and buying it also!

Bev & Jess & Georgann too... It will be fun to have you at the Renfaire. If you come, tell me when so I can clean the house and everyone can stay here. It is a little house, but we can find enough places for every one to sleep.

Aunt George, dad and i made the marbelized fabric earlier this year....when it was cool enough to be outside for long periods of time...haha...the fabric I stole from a dress was used on my peach linen skirt...did you see the picture? I thinks its...7-10 pages back? I dunno, I finished it...Tuesday night....

Bonne, so glad you like the apron

Oh E, I didn't think you would be mad at all......

Jess is going to check everyone's schedule and see when she could get away... I am probably the most flexible....no kids at home. But....we do have to go to NYC the second week in September for a conference.....YEAH...more chances to shop for fabric.....I will keep my eye open in NYC for yummy fabric that we might like!
