Jess, I've used my magnifying glass on the picture of the fabric you posted. It looks like a form of Matelasse which is woven to give a relief pattern. It is usually found in bedspreads and coverlets.

Can you spread the design with your hands and have it flatten out or is truly a raised pattern? Just wondering, if it can be spread out and flatten then it can be ironed to show the true look.

Here's a closeup of a Matelasse.

Generally it's a cotton or cotton/rayon/acetate kind of blend. I have a few of them. They can be heavy weight to lightweight.

So is this describing it at all?? With it being white and the reflection it's hard to tell for sure..

It's pretty So whatcha going to do with it?

Oh, your aprons are too cute...your Fairies must be laying in the floor gasping for air at this point wishing they'd never signed that contract

I do not have a clue what i am going to do with it...I have 3 3/8 yrds of it..I was thinking renfaire for kids!...but not sure it is an awfully nice piece of material from some fancy store

Georgann! Got the fabric today! It is perfect...of course you knew I'd love it. I cut it into 2 pieces then hemmed all around for curtains in my bedroom. Took me all evening....because all hems done by hand.
Now I have new bedroom curtains! thanks!

Hey, just an FYI, Target has the colored tea towels on clearance. $4 for 6
I was there getting some cheap clearance shirts for Peanut.... since he is 3 1/2 and goobers paint and everything else on them at school. Cute stuff... dirt cheap!

Thanks Georgann & E- I'll look up the site for the best price on the seam tapes..They come in rolls of 100 yards and oooudles (a new word) of colors.

I have bags that I've crocheted with them...love the stuff! They can be easily overdyed also.

Jess,

Save all those vintage patterns..will be good "retirement" money one day!! I started collecting the patterns about 10 years ago and it's unbelievable how much they have appreciated.

I have bought several vintage apron patterns on Ebay, and yes, they are really pricey at times. The ones that I bought weren't that pricey. This is the apron pattern that I used for making my neighbor's apron. I found a seller selling it on Ebay. I really like the center bottom of the apron. Like I mentioned before, I couldn't figure it out before getting the pattern and reading the instructions. The website shows the pattern for $42.00.
