Awww Is there room for one more? The very first project I EVER did that made me feel "very domesticated" lol was a set of Embroidered pillow cases, I have made MANY sets since then and LOVE to do it, so if theres room I'd love to.

ALEE and mom. I just looked back and see I am in a "group" with Firemama and Celticheart....GOOD.
Now re-refresh my poor little brain.. Do I make each lady 2 pillow cases? And do I send them to you? I guess I better get out there and buy some cases...Right? I have been seeing them at Walmart already stamped....not sure I want the but I'll look around for nice plain ones....Maybe I'll go to Wally world this weekend and look . I have never seen crafts at Target, Have you?

Hi Margie!
Yes, just to clarify, each person will decorate 4 pillowcases- two to each of their swapmates. Then everyone will mail the pillowcases to me to swap out (along with either a return envelope postage paid or enough money for postage) and I will return 4 pillowcases to you! That way everyone gets two sets of hand decorated pillowcases.
Candismom (Elizabeth) also sells plain pillowcases on her etsy shop.
I will be emailing everyone here soon. Right now I am on a trip to attend a memorial service for my great aunt so I am a bit disorganized. I promise I will have sent out an email about this by middle of this coming week.

This swap sounds exciting. I love embroidered pillowcases. I recently embroidered a set for my daughter and she loved them. It really does take some time but I love any kind of needle work. Better than Prozac. I have recently become " swap worthy"! 50 posts. I'll probably wait this one out as I have too much going on this summer to commit. I'd love to see some of pillowcases on this site after the swap. The pattern I stamped on mine came from Aunt Martha's iron on transfers. Right now my DH and I are in Georgia for a few days and I brought along my crochet thread and hook to practice making lace. I'd love to master the lace and add it to a set of pillowcases or hankies. |

Thought I would bump up this Swap in case any new members want to join in...since Alee is organizing this in small groups maybe another group could be added on if there are some more farmgirls interested..
And there's still plenty of time since we have until the end of October

Hi Julia!
I would love to have you in the swap! Please plan on making 4 pillowcases because I am sure two more might join or Stephanie and I can swap with you!
I have decided to tat a 4 leaf clover design on to my pillowcases. I just thought up a pattern based off another pattern... wish me luck!

Oh man Alee - you're tatting on your pillowcases - I'm impressed. I still get nothing but knots. I'm working on yours, but alas, no tatting! |
