                      | I have an over abundance of this tasty and useful little weed. I have picked and dried a lot of it, but will be doing more here in the coming days.
It is good in salads and has a taste of pineapple. It's medicinal uses are abundant:

 -upset GI tract-particularly diarrhea
 -infections in cuts and sores
 -fevers
 -anemia, particularly postpartum
 -sedative properties
-perfum (American Indians used it often for perfum as well as insect repellant)
 -relieves itching
 -aids menstrual issues
-has a lot of the same properties as chamomile (they are sisters)
-is sweeter than chamomile (I happen to like it better than chamomile, or blended with it, because of it's sweetness)
-when boiled it helps bring in milk after birth
-like chamomile, it is a ragweeed cousin, so if you have allergies to ragweed, it is generally best to avoid it.

So back to it, I have a ton and will be willing to send it off to you for the price of postage. It's so beneficial and lovely. :)

                      | Tasha- When you mail it- are you thinking in seed for or what? I would be very interested in growing some! Especially if it aids lactation. I am doing good, but would love to be freezing more milk for emergency use. The more I have frozen, the less likely we will ever ever have to resort to Formula.

                      | Hi Tasha: I have heard of this plant but have never planted it myself. Could you send me some? Still have my address? Let me know the postage on it and I will get it out to you quickly. Thanks! Susan |

                      | Let me know how much postage is. What type of envelope would you send it in? I could send you a Self Addressed Stamped envelope. I have lots of stamps on hand :)

                      | OH, different plants have different local names, the pineapple weed in our area is not good for eating. What is the scientific name of yours, or could you post a picture? Hate to be picky, but an ounce of prevention you know...
 We make a difference.

                      | Michelle, I am so glad you asked...I posted, then deleted a question about Pineapple Lily since I was trying to look it up myself.
Tasha, thanks for the photo and scientific name!

                      | np...we had some in our salad last night. it made a lovely and tasty addition. it is sweet, as mentioned before and just gives a very unique look to the salad especially with the other wild greens I harvested to go with our garden spinach and romaine. it was a great salad.
I have a few more bundles drying right now for sending out....

                      | Yep, we call that pineapple weed here. They do smell nice, but I pull them out. Glad you enjoy them. Guess the biggest caution is making sure no one has sprayed them. :) Lots of people do. I'm sure yours are clean though. |
