Hi there,
I've been enjoying MaryJane's books and products for a few years, but recently pining for an actual home and farm has got me inspired to start posting. I live in a 1br apartment in the big city (as big as northern Ohio gets, at least), but we've started saving for a home this past year. It recently occurred to us that because rural property is cheaper, we might be able to afford our few acres of dream land just as easily as a little starter house in our inner-ring suburb.
Then I saw a win-a-farm essay contest (I've already posted the details here http://www.maryjanesfarm.com/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12065)...
and my inner hopeless romantic can't stop thinking about it.
Nice to meet you all, this forum seems even nicer and friendlier than I imagined.

Welcome Bess! Good luck on saving up for your new home & farm. Northern Ohio is very beautiful, you're lucky to be living there! I'm sure you'll enjoy it here, lots of information, support and help on anything you can think of!

I am in the same type of situation: Apartment living and yearning for land and a house of my own. Hanging out on the forum really helps though! :)
