yeah..most people in my neighborhood own their house, but these guys are renters. I think they may be section 8...there are so many problems over there I cannot even start to name them. The other house in the neighborhood that was a rental with questionable people, we bought about 3 yrs ago and now my sister rents it from us! So if we dont move, we will try to buy that rental and do a little neighborhood restoration. And they can keep their dogs that don't mind.

at least once we buy a rental it looks cute in no time with plantings and such and the inside becomes immaculate. If I could just do that at my own house. Ha! Any how I believe John is going to check out that country estate tomorrow, so we shall see.

Oh man Jess, having neighbors like that can be a trail, but in truth most of them truly don't stick around for a long time.
Hmmmm, he is looking at the house, we shall be a prayin that he sees the light....teeehhheeeheee.
I hope that house becomes a possiblitly for you and your family. Room is a nice thing to have. Otherwise, buy that house next door and that would end the challenge. Feel sorry for the dogs can you imagine being the dog of those owners, not fun
at all.
Mom's pet scan is Wednesday and will have to wait for news of what is going on. Thank you each one for your
caring and support. I appreciate it more than you can know.

Hopefully I can sew tomorrow, it is my goal anyway. DD will be induced on Monday night. Baby still up high and she is past 41 weeks. I can't remember the name of what they are doing but it is the slow and gentle one.

Bev, you have a grand visit girl.

Sharon bein thinking about you girl.

Steph....stay away from the nasty creeping crude and get well!!!!!!

Jess, we have the Humane Society and Animal Control here for such things. The neighbor's dogs are living in unsafe conditions.

Yes I have had several runs with Animal Control. YOU see my yard is 2 acres, and I am surrounded by subdivision on the sides and back of me, then across the sreet is fairly wooded and pastures with horses etc..we are pn the fringe and in the county just barely. So, all manner of dumped adn neglected beast ends up in my yard reeking havoc on my serenity. So the county animal control is very used to coming to my house. Usually I just go out and get whatever beasty dog there is and wrestle it into a kennel and wait for them to come relieve me of it. I cannot catch this group and they jump back in their fenced area as soon as animal control comes. So now we are dealing with this with the sheriff. YAY!

Good Luck Jess. You don't deserve this. I am wondering if you do buy the other house, what would become of the one you live in now. In California, there are houses stacked on top of each other. The houses are so close, and any land that is available is being eaten up in new housing developments. The are where I used to do the craft shows has a lot of horse and dairy land. One woman sold off some of her land, which now is a housing development. It is so sad to see that gorgeous land now, because the beauty is now gone.

oh i am not thinking of selling my house unless i buy that country estate. If I bought the horrible neighbor's house, i would use it as a rental. we always do a very good job screening our people. we have owned several rentals and what not over the span of our marriage. we usually buy dumpy houses in nice areas(you know there is always one)and redo them and make them so sweet and charge fair mkt rent and only take good clients. It is worth it to wait a month or two until a good one comes along than deal with skank you know. And usually we dont have any trouble the sign goes out and the web listing is posted and with in 2 wks we have shown it a dozen times, take apps, check refereences, etc and we are in business with good people.

I wondered where you had been carrie. i was down yesterday but bounced back well today!

heres hopin John likes the house. we shall see, they had to cancel the appt for today so it is rescheduled for tuesday! meanwhile if that doesnot pan out, i will continue to watch carefully. it is hard to find a house that is 1800s that has 8+ bedrooms, adequate baths, and acreage.

I spent the day inside today! It is so cold and really windy today and since I have a cold, that wind does not make me feel so great. I did some cleaning and sewing. Plus, I got that book LIVING THE COUNTRY DREAM by Harrowsmith for Christmas and I read some of it today. A nice, quiet day for relaxing and listening to the radio.

I went to Assembly Hall with my whole family and some friends and watched(on the big scrren monitors) the Michigan State Spartans rip our mens basketball team limb from limb..we were so close to that Big Ten title..oh well...you never knkow..maybe some other time. Then we watched in person our Lady Hoosiers beat the Womens Nittany Lions..Penn State. They gave a good show, and the kids loved it!

I finally got a chance to work on some aprons. They aren't finished yet, but I will post them when done, as well as the pictures of the finished quilt.

It's taken me hours & hours to cut out my little squares and stitch them
into a piece of fabric large enuff for my wrap skirt, but finally got it cut
out and waistband & pocket stitched on~now it's parked on the ironing board waiting for
pressing & hemming. So far the iron is the only electrical device that has touched it. LOL
I think I'm being "green" by stitching on the treadle to the warmth of woodburning stove.
gawd, we had about 5 inches of snow yesterday.
