A rainy afternoon and evening here. No snow!! I am working late these days, but have still managed to squeeze out some sewing time!! YAY! I posted a few pictures of the churn dash quilt I was hoping to start this winter!! Also, there is a Valentines Day wallhanging I made.

I am planning to make an apron soon, but my next project has to be the slipcover for my armchair that will be with the new furniture when it comes. While I am nervous about it, I can't wait to get started. Got the fabric and everything to get going on it.

Ok, yes 2 apple martinis will cause life to blurr a bit. No hubby home tonight...and my next door neighbor's hubby was gone, so the girls had appletinis for dinner....and a few snackies....hence, the blurr!!!!

Driving Miss Daisy this morning....Jess......Mom is doing better with respect to her back....coming along day by day....pretty soon she should be back behind the wheel....LOOKOUT....clear the roads!!!! No, she is extrememely chipper for her age and acts very young....at least until she broke her back.

Hey, Jessica: What is the latest on that quilt that you were working on. I have the backing on, and now need to stitch the layers together on the ladybug quilt. My dh's other nephew and his wife had a boy, so I know what I will make for little Patrick.

hey there Sharon, I got both quilts I was working on totally done last week. They were both full size bed size quilts, minus 6 inches on the width side. there are pics on the quilt and stitch thread, they are on 2 separate pages. I will email em to you. show us yours when you get a chance.

thank you Bev! Next time I have to do them, I am going to put them together, and send em your way with quilting...I would rather send you a check than do it myself. So, I hope you get that machine all figured out! haha!

Jess, you sewer you, good job girl.

Yesterday, whacked out day and no sewing.....Dh had major bad cold, got up after nap and sounded "weird" only way to describe it, went to Va Hopsital, he has pneumonia!!!!! He only had the cold 5 days,
craziness, but going around very badly here they say. So he was overnight in hospital. Told dd she couldn't have baby last night, ehhhh gadsss. She didn't but she swears she is going to push him out whether he is ready or not. Her due date was yesterday. Then phone call from my mom, her tumor indicator test was way up from 2 weeks ago, she has a Petscan in the next 2 weeks to look for tumors anywhere and everywhere. She just made it her 5 years out from breast cancer. Dad has her surgery for skin cancer and is clean.
Needless to say, sewing did not come yesterday. I am not thinking that slurp slurp might have been a good idea.
Sewing today, hey, I sat in my chair in the sewing room and just looked around and went ahhhh, does that count!!!!!!?????!!!!!!
Would appreciate prayers for my mom. Thanks gals.

Hey Carol Sue,

Prayers on the way for your daughter, husband and mom! Yes, sounds like a major Slurp Slurp was in order for yesterday

I'm just trying to get over that "bug" cold pneumonia crap that seems to be hitting all over the US..My DH is NEVER sick and since we've been in this area he's been sick twice and to the doctor both times I'm staying inside for the second week hoping to get well before exposing myself to this wicked crap AGAIN..we've never been hit with what seems to be a "cold" but hangs on far longer than any cold should. Very strange illnesses this year..

Carol, you needed a slurp, slurp day. Too much going on at one time. Be sure to take time for yourself. My mom is out of the hospital and back in the rehabilitation center as of Tuesday.

thanks.

my thoughts to all of you who are suffering and your family members too!

how many chihuahuas does one family need? i have neighbors who are so gross. we have had so many problems with their filth and funk. they have a boxer that jumps the low fence and torments my kids and rabbits. I thought my dog might help us out, but instead I want to protect my dog from this one. they leave their trash in their yard instead of hauling it off, the kids are dirty and filthy. we have had one branch of govt after another out here to deal with them. I am so sick of them and their crap. and there are other things taht I will not go into here that I have to deal with in regards to them. So what did they do for their kids for Christmas? CHIHUAHUAS! a whole freakin pack of the rats. I knew they got one...it cannot seem to stay outta my yard either. everytime i saw it, it looked slightly different. so today I see the chihuahua and the boxer in the driveway trying to dive into our trash and our other neighbors, so I go out there and start making noise and hollering and what not....you know...there were 4 freakin chihuahuas out there and the boxer. JEEZ!

That country estate is lookin pretty good right now,eh Jess!

I'm a chihuha owner and I agree completely!
Of course ours is a sweet, smart but still ugly one-and he lives indoors like a little old man. His name is-BUBBA!!!

(No offense taken)

Happy travels Bev!! Bet you're thrilled to go visit your baby boy.

Get Well wishes to those of you "under the weather". Seems to be a 2nd round of
flu/respiratory crud going around. I know the 1st round kicked my arse~so lingering too.

i tell you what ..sorry autumn...but you cannot catch those little buggers and they dont listen worth a dern. I love responsible pet owners. That country estate is callin my name. John on the other hand told me last night he wanted to move there as much as I want to move to downtown Chicago...so now I have to find a new method to persuade him. I just know that is where we need to be. And I hope the chihuahuas dont come over on a day my sister has brought her pyrenees to play..I dont think they would tolerate them much!

Oh gosh, I dislike irresponsible pet owners...they buy or adopt animals with no thought other than it being an amusement for the moment. Those little chi chi doggies as well as the boxer should be in loving homes and fufu-ed (new word..LOL)like my Miss Morgan. The chi chi's really are adorable dogs.

I know I may go overboard but why have an animal that isn't going to be spoiled and loved just like children. Guess y'all can tell I'm a huge advocate for good treatment of animals..LOL My dairy goats and chickens were spoiled rotten too!

I have to say their behavoir is learned from their owners and they may not live long because of it.

Yeah Bonne, A spell that will send these doggies into the arms of "loving" people would be in order.

Jess..as for your neighbors...well they seem to never have learned nor cared about taking good care of themselves or their property. Some folks just don't care about anything! I'm sorry you are stuck with these neighbors Jess...The worst part in the long run is that their lack of care of their property can hurt the resale value for your property.
