I have always loved hats...I wear one almost all the time. Usually to keep the sun out of my sensitive eyes. I think that pic really looks like me.

Love those hats and they all look awful on me. Must have 30 or more vintage ones...yeah, no one is surprised I'm sure. I put them on the bigger teddy bears sometimes. Mostly they're stacked and in hat boxes in the sewing room, along with so much else. Karin's glasses look like ones my grandmother wore, the tortoise shell she loved. Wish I had some of them, must have been tossed out. yes, another thing I collect, actually one of my first collections along with ink wells, 35 years or so back. Don't find ones to buy very often anymore. As with most collections, as they grow one gets more picky and looks for the unusual. Steph, maybe one of my round pairs would work for you to have new lenses fitted. I have to get really small lightweight frames, very small bones/frame with too much blubber on them to be carrying around. When I look in the kids frames, the optical fitter argues with me until they try putting 'adult' sizes on my face. |

Jess, I have a box of boxes of parts for singers/universal Greist ones. Do you have a part# or pic of what it looks like? Steph, we need to discuss...if you measure what width you need from temples to temples on the frames, it will help. Unless Bonne's link has some cool ones that interest you. |

They have flat rate shipping ~I get my prescription sunglasses here too. A fraction of the cost I paid at the joint I got my exam at. You can afford to have a wardrobe of glasses at their prices.

| Steph, I had/have vintage kids patterns for you to draft from, remember? They are still in the huge tote from when I got all of them from Salvation Army store. Bet there are some "couture" ladies patterns that Naomi could use in her designing...I will have to check them out and take photos of them. Maybe wait until the big move happens, don't want to add to someone else's clutter at moving/packing time. They all came from the same person and was someone who sewed for others from the notations made on the envelopes. 30's to 50's vintage as I remember |

I went through a period of collecting vintage patterns a couple years ago. Mostly boxes of asst'ed ones from Ebay. I'd bring them to our weekly Stitch'n B*tch meetings and we'd try to guess the year they were from ~lol~ funny that a bunch of them I actually had sewn outfits from back in jr/sr high.

| I'm almost sure I have machine feet like that and I'm much cheaper than eBay. Guess I'll need to know high or low shank. You know, I have a couple packages of recent universal feet and attachments too, even know where they are too. Does this mean I'm getting better??? not really, but finding stuff and making bigger messes at the same time. |
