hey gals! Steph..thanks for the Willedur photo..I managed to find a couple of pillow sleeves on etsy from some fab fabric like that(will use them at new house in living room with my aqua/turquoise colored leather sofa) had a great day today..met Zan (farmtopia) from New York..she's a real sweety/down to earth/lots of fun. saw you all talking about hats..I have a small collection of vintage hats/purses and gloves. used to have an antiques booth in an antique mall here and that's some of what I used to sell...but of course I kept some for myself too.:0) they sure are fun. hope you all had a great "ringing in the New Year day" my new year is off to a pretty good start so far! -------- have a great day gals! hugs.

ok sorry to tease you all last night...cranky teething baby girl, sent pics to my friend Nay and then had to go, and consequently fell asleep with babe in arms. How about pics now...and remember it is only about 1/4 done. I do love this tool though.

Jess, it looks great, is it for the birds or the faerie village? I have always wanted a dremel. Just another thing to lose at my house. Found my crochet hooks last night and started some fingerless gloves, decided I hated them so the kitties have a new toy...their standards are 0pretty low.
Ronna, I hope you will post pictures of all your hats, I am a total hat nut, but have lost many overy the years. I did get a really great looking brown wool old lady hat the other day, with some braid trim on it. It is my current fave...
Not quite so wicked cold here today, but I forgot my flexoril olast night and that was dumb, ok, off to buy a mouyse.

| Jess, what are you using for the thatched roof? really cute. Reminds me, an aunt had a table top "village' of cannibals that I ended up getting years after they were given to mother. Don't know where they went in the move from CA back to NV. I saw one piece at Salvation Army for about $25, so they've become collectible it seems. Wish I knew where they are..maybe still in the basement of the house when I left. Like so many others, I've "lost" lots over the years in moves and divorces. |

Jess ,Very cool!! Definitely looks like a fairy house! I have the same problem with pics! I even size them on my computer and on photobucket and sometimes they still come out huge like 5 by 7 size! Oh well, some day I will figure it out!
Steph, Your friend Kathleen got a hold of me on my blog about the silk thread! Yipee!! Thank you for sending her my way!!! I think there ought to be a reward for sending business my way!!!I need to get busy making some money if I want to keep buying fiber especially since hubby had his once a year rant about the check book!!

I love that house, Jess!!! That is just so cool. I grew some gourds that look like swans, but only 2 of them dried right. I should send the one I have at school to you!! You could do neat stuff and add it to your village (the neck never curved on it and just goes straight up--looks neat). Cannot wait to see it all finished!!
I put Rob's quilt on my blog. Can you believe I quilted the whole thing in one day? It was so fast (not as big as some of my others either). It is a little more plain than some of the ones I make for myself, but I might like it. Let me know!!

Oh the spray is so wonderful. You lay the quilt backing on the table (wrong side up). Then you put the batting on top. Lift the batting up(I do a half at a time) and spray it and then smooth it down again onto the backing. Then spray the top of the batting and put your top on it. Smooth it out with your hands and you are done!! I will post the instructions on my blog next time I do a quilt sandwich. It is so much better (for me) than using pins. I never manage to keep all the lumps out that way. With the adhesive, when I sew a little, I can check for lumps, lift the top and smooth it again as many times as I need to.

I use 505 spray is that the same brand you guys use? I prefer it to pins. I use it on lots of projects as it saves time.

| As always, another fantastic quilt Sheryl-lyn. It's quite striking and a perfect "guy" quilt. I've heard good things about the spray adhesive. Has to be a big timesaver too. |
