Hey Monica, I kept meaning to ask if Kathleen contacted you...she does beautiful embroidery and was totally excited when she saw the spun silk thread you sent to me. Yes, you can spin thread for the embroiderers..they will love using your silk thread...and they will actually buy it.! New concept there...LOL

Jess, too tooo cute! will be watching for progress pictures.

Yes, that spray is good stuff..

Carrie: I do not have a longarm quilter:( I have a very good Viking though. It is the MegaQuilter and has an especially large throat for getting the quilts through. As time goes by, I am getting more proficient with it and am finding that I am looking forward to trying to create more designs as I go.

Oh, I went to Borders today and got MJF. They only had one left!! Seems all those months that I took Oprah's magazine out of the spotlight and put MJF in that place have paid off! I got an email that I am being sent one from the company too since I did not get mine in the mail. My daughter actually said she wants it when it comes!! Awesome.

Steph, Yes she did!!! I posted on the top of the last page! As I said, I think there ought to be a reward for sending business my way!!!

Jess, thank you for the invite, but I am hosting my own laundry party here! Do you have a flex-shaft for your Dremel????

Jess: Remember a few summers ago I posted that red and white quilt and you thought I should add an embroidered border to it? Well, I did that and it made such a difference!! I will have to dig it up from the attic to show it to you. That is another one I want to quilt now that I am in the mood for it. I have a pile to quilt by summer as well!!

My next quilt is going to be an all blue and white one I think. I have always loved the way they look, so tomorrow I am going to get some white and some blue. Just trying to decide on a block to use.

It is so cool to be home and check out what you are all up to all day. I'll miss it when I am back to work on Monday. I can check in here on my lunch, but not much more.

That really does sound cute!! Do you have a pattern that you use for that? I have a few, I think.

I just about finished another apron for a friend at school. She is a French teacher and I used a black and white toile. I love the way it looks so far.

Bonne: My husband is my sewing machine supplier!! He always says that they are the best investment he ever made! So true when you think about the time spent on each machine. Just wait until I show you guys my best quilt ever!! It is the one I started making embroidery blocks for in a class last year. A lot of my friends at the quilting classes say it is the best I have ever done. I'll see if the weather is good tomorrow so I can take a picture outside. I am so proud of it so far. Have not quilted it yet.

Jess: I used to quilt on a regular machine all of the time. I just used a walking foot. You can free motion without a special foot too. I am sure you have done it all already though.

Hello, ladies!!
I wasn't on for one day and there are so many pages to catch up on. I hope I don't miss anyone.

Karin~Love your picture!!! Definitely looks like an author. Have that leg checked out.

Jess~Laundry party sounds like fun. I love to do laundry. I actually wanted to own a laundrymat at one time. Crazy, I know. I love the fairy house.

Sheryl-lyn~I love your quilts. Just gorgeous. I really want to try one but get intimidated.

Autumn~Love the chicken pic. I want chickens.

Tina and Naomi~Good luck with packing and purging. How fun to meet a fellow farmgirl.

Bonne~Thank you for the sweet comment on my crochet. The owl hats have been fun.

Stephanie~Thinking of you. How is the move going?

Monica~Are you feeling all better.

Don't mean to leave anyone one out. The brain is overloaded now.

I took down all the Christmas decorations and did a big cleaning. I'm feeling a little better. I went grocery shopping and now I need to put it all away and make supper. I have to work tonight. YUCK!!

Jess, I may have a flex-shaft you can have!! I was looking for it the other day and found out I have 2! I will have to check with hubby and see if he wants it, but if not I could send it your way! If you are using the collets for holding the bits in, invest in the quick change bit! It's just like on the end of a drill motor and it makes it a hundred times faster when you change bits!
