Tks so much girls! Just picture me skipping along ,like the tin man along the yellow brick road!!!!! It's not bad to be 51- I have a beautiful life and family-what could be better-except maybe losing the 40 pounds that Marie Osmond is looking for. I have ALL of it and I want her address so I can send it back!

Sharon-felted wool????????!!!!!!!! Do give us first shot at your fabs you plan on getting rid of!!!
I love working with wool!!! Cant find it down south-at least not easily-

Blessings,
Autumn

Karin, just left your blog...more great stuff! And yes, Miss Morgan has pathetic down to a fine art. She is feeling better after 3 doses but she hasn't done her #2 business so I praying that we aren't going from "can't stop to can't go"!!

Sharon, yes, you should put your fabric on the marketplace..you never know...

Sheryl, thanks, she's feeling much better (I think)...the play sounds like so much fun but alot of work too...are you helping to get all costumes together? And yes, only a few more weeks til it's Apron-ology time!!

Jess, the quilt is great....You're on a mission...will look forward to seeing the completions as they fly off the machine.

Oh my gosh, birthdays have started again....ok, writing this down!!! One of my missions this year is to get very organized.

Autumn

Happy Happy to Autumn and glad you like the pizza crust. Can't take the credit, I refer to Cooks Illustrated recipes quite often. Though I have been baking bread a very long time. Almost as long as you are old. Oh, that didn't come out sounding very nice, didn't mean it that way. Think I was about 12 when I first started making bread and I'm 62 now, so hopefully I've learned a bit over the years. When you marry someone who was brought up on only homemade bread, it takes the fun out some. He likes what I call "marshmallow" bread, the really cheap stuff. Funny, his mother always baked white bread, but when she stopped baking just a few years before she died at 90, she bought the cheapest "wheat" bread..the kind that has a bit of carmel color added to look brown. Never made sense.

Bonne ~ Oh, I am right there with you on the canning. I'm slowly working my way up to canning/freezing/dehydrating as much as possible to last us an entire year until those certain things are in season again (apples, peaches, strawberries, cherries, asparagus, etc.). I tell people that either my grandmothers would be frightened by me, or, more likely, quite proud of me.

Steph ~ Ooh, I got another idea of an apron to try making for myself from your site. Just what I needed, yet another project.

Monica ~ Oh, I'm sorry about Tyler. I hope he gets the help he needs. My sister and I had some very rough times around that age (won't get into details, but yes, suicide was contemplated separately by both of us throughout the years).

Funny you guys are mentioning Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz - today my almost 7mo was whacking her heels together throughout the evening. So cute and funny.

Happy Birthday Autumn!

I feel a bit like an odd duck... I have very little fabric because I'm so new to the whole sewing thing. I think I have 3 little tubs that are about 12"x16"x7" full of fabric/thread/edging/etc. I almost have more yarn from my crocheting diaper soaker days...

My even more fabulous accomplishment for the week is 2 playdates under my belt for the week, and cleaning out the scary guest room when my mom and uncle unexpectedly showed up with my dad's bed frame and mattress from cleaning out his apartment. Now to throw up a few things on craigslist and clear out a bit more.

Teresa,
I'm glad Caleb is on the mend!! YAY!!!

Lanna, so glad something from my blog sparked another project..LOL That's the idea. And just don't you worry..you'll have fabric busting out all over the place after hanging around here for a while. ...I do relate on the childhood bit..things happen that shouldn't and the child can carry the burden for a very long time if not a lifetime to some extent. If one survives... it definitely builds character and strength to carry on no matter what. I survived way too much trauma by a family member in those years and may account for my sense of humor that I have for each day and the hope I have for tomorrow.

Teresa ~ Oh geez. A wooden double bed frame, double mattress and boxspring, some side tables (glass top insert type deal) at some point, a few Lane Bryant shirts from a while ago (my nursing boobs don't fit in 'em anymore after all these years), cloth diapers, basically a bunch of random stuff I need to clear out.

Steph ~ Well, that's actually something I'm going to try to semi-avoid. I have enough stuff in the house as it is. Besides, I haven't quite gotten the hang of catching a bunch of fabric on sale yet. Maybe at some point - we can make that a continuous math lesson for the boys or something. It sucks about the childhood bits though. My sister's still issues from my dad - somehow I managed to luck out with my hubby. *sigh*

Steph you had me holling at this one, "really it's ok to be young at heart...I sure am..but my body has decided to be a real prankster the past few years..It's really tested my sense of humor."

Monica will certainly keep your nieces friend on my heart.....

Ahhh Karin those d*** magazine stealers but if you have't gotten any yet, let me know, we have the phone number for the mag here somewhere between us. You need your magazines for easy reading. Especially on days that concentrating are tougher......

aaahhhhaaaa, caught you Carol Sue! I've got two computers going right now....Thomas's laptop...we changed over to Verizon Wireless for our cellphones and got a broadband air card for the laptop..since we'll take it to the cabin with us....we can pick up their 3G network..it's really quite fast! YAY!! I was facing dialup otherwise...and of course, you know all about that...what a pain it can be.

On the other one I've been scanning and editing again tonight..I'm trying to do atleast 50 at a time then do an upload session. Soooo, that's my excitement of the night..:0)

So you liked my comment...hahaha...

basic fabric collecting 101 if you like it 1 and 1/2 yards, if you really like it 3 yards and if you love it 5 yards or the whole bolt if you can afford it lol....have yet to do the whole bolt thing but wish i could have a couple of times.

Happy Birhtday, Autumn!! I hope you have a great day today.

Jess~I love the quilt. What a great job. You've been a busy girl.

Sharon~I need fabric and will be more than happy to help you lighten your load.

I want to be the Scarecrow.

Sheryl-lyn's hats are finished. They came out so cute. Bev yours are next. Just putting on some finishing touches. Jess and Teresa getting yours finished too. I have had so much school work to correct and get ready for the kids. Don't they know I have owl hats to finish. My daughter's history is so time consuming. I will make sure that whatever she does next year it has a better teacher's manual with all of the answers. Some of these are like finding a needle in a haystack. ARGH!!

Sorry about the rant.

Karin~I hope your car and phone are all fixed up soon.

Stephanie~Glad to hear Miss Morgan is a bit better.

Lanna~Don't feel bad~I don't have a fabric stash either.

Teresa~Great tips on fabric collecting. I hadn't heard of that. I hope you got some sleep.

Carol Sue~Are the water woes finally done for sure?
