Wow can't wait to see that play on youtube sounds like it will be a blast!
Jess I love my bread maker but I like to bake bread in oven get a nicer loaf but while it is making dough you have time to sew.
Sheryl-lyn loved your quilt. Hubby did wonderful job picking out fabric. Another work of art.
After catching up that was all I could remember not trying to be rude to anyone |

Okay, just when I thought I was getting over my cold, it decided to start over!! I woke up this morning with my ears all plugged up and couldn't hardly hear and Isaiah was home sick also! I was just starting to get starting to get a jump on house cleaning too! Oh where are those fairies when you need them! I think they are at Sheryl-lyn's quilting!!
Sheryl-lyn, I love your quilt! It's very pretty!
I hope you all have a wonderful evening! I am going to go curl up on the couch and card some wool to spin!

I've been out most of the day- birthday lunch at mom's and funeral this evening and just a wee bit of sewing in between! I had to post a picture here cause it's a gift for my daughter in law and she is a LOYAL blog reader- it's a gift for her birthday! Her dining room is Tuscan, so I tried to kinda go with veggies- but I am no decorator and I really dont know what tuscan means-Italian???? What do ya'll think?

I loved Bev's idea about making the jars appear to be on a wooden shelf-so I used it! Tks Bev!!!!!
I'll snap a shot of the baby quilt tomorrow! Hope ya'll are feeling better-Carrie and monica. I am slowing getting to the place I can try knitting AGAIN!!!

Everyone has been very busy today, posting as well as checking Craigslist and all. OK, my two cents worth on making pizza dough in the bread machine. For mixing it, fine, but it does not need the long kneading as for a loaf of bread. If too much gluten develops, which it will with a long knead time, it will be harder to roll out/toss for the pizza crusts. I mix mine in the Cuisinart and it's ready in about two minutes. Will also have more flavor if it's allowed to sit in the fridge all day or all night. It will rise in the fridge, but not as fast as in a warm spot. For bread, you need the gluten developed to support the dough while it's rising, but in pizza dough, it's nearly flat. Bonne's recipe is close to mine, though I don't use any sugar...sugar feeds the yeast and will make it rise better/higher/faster. Bread/pizza lesson over for the day. I have had three bread machines. The pricey one, Zojirushi, went goofy and the preheat cycle, which could not be bypassed, killed the yeast. If finally went in the trash. Other two I gave away purposely to people who had problems kneading and made good use of them. Anyone with Targets close by....the bargains are really great right now. Many winter items, sweats, etc are 75% off. Good deals in nearly every dept from what I saw. Worked (ha, shopped) both my Reno area stores today and go to Carson City one tomorrow. I still need to take photos of my Minnesota treadle machine. Thanks to Bonne, I have the info on it too. Will stop by next week and reclaim one of my Featherweights from a friend. She's afraid to put it in her car, says it's more valuable than a diamond ring. It did get her out of a bind when she had orders for tooth fairy pillows and her machine tanked. New dishwasher living in my kitchen and woohoo does it clean well. First one I've chosen, others have been in the house and not top end. Put two pots with mashed potato and gravy "residue" and the turbo wash got them spic n span, along with the rest of the dishes. I won't know how to act not needing to practically wash them before they go into the machine. Quiet too, that's nice with it and the TV on opposite sides of the wall and an open cathedral ceiling. |

No-I didn't Jess- am I gonna have to track down my mail lady????I can't be missing my goodies!!!! Oh I can hardly wait to see what it is!!!
The memorial went very well!! Tks for asking! My kids all gave me a thumbs up and were pleased- I was first-and I was glad. It actually felt kinda natural- I'm really glad cause I wanted to focus on my friend-not MY "performance"-glad it's over!!! All 5 kids called and were so sweet to me for my b'day! A momma couldnt want anything else, right!

| sourdough starter can go in the fridge until you want to use it, it thrives on neglect. anyone else that might be so inclined to want some, let me know. It's the real deal, no yeast or sugar in it and I started it probably about 12 years ago. Carol Sue has some, also Sheryl-lyn and Tina Michelle and now Jessica. Bonne's should be there too, mailed it the same day as Jessica's. |

Autumn, glad your day went well all the way around. I love that veggie fabric! Have never used it before but now can see so many possibilities.
-----
Jess and Bonne, Yes, you two should collaborate on a blog just for the Treadles...all the pictures, parts, info links..shortcuts and resolving problems that y'all have learned.
It would take on a life of it's own..I know that for sure..and lots of folks would enjoy having a Treadle blog to visit.

Autumn, the Queen of all is MaryJane, I'm just someone who's been baking bread for a long time. Email me your address...I probably have it from the Farmgirl of the Month, but will be easier/faster if you send it again. Sad way to spend your birthday, at your friends funeral. For sure you will not forget her or when she died, being so close to your birthday. Quite sure she and her family were very pleased with your words of caring and love. |
