Golly Jess! I would *let* the dog eat em...ugh..
Teresa....That is a lot of bartering! haha...and a corset?...still a bit beyond me( for now, plan to remedy that this year)...But Loooooving the outfit...totally steampunk!except...I wouldn't have used white on that bottom portion...maybe a creamy tan...and as per the description....could totally see a top hat with it...I want a top hat...want want want...neeeeed.. ooh dude..I just saw that it has Wings!hmm...no...the wings are wrong...white angel wings aren't *exactly* steampunk...It needs...something in this shape...http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11499599 but not white...painted a metalic copper...would be *perfect*.....and the ribbon on the back to lace it up needs to be black... Even as it is...it is pretty....all of the above is just how I would wear it....hahaha But...even without the out fit...I still need a top hat...lke this... http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_list_7&listing_id=19774713 ooooor....just a plain mens top hat...

I love that Steampunk look. It's fun to see young'uns "dressing up" for a change and it's so steeped in southern history (with a funky twist) Yes, you do need that hat Nay.

Theresa ~ I hope you figure out what's going on with Caleb. That would definitely unnerve me.
If anybody could send non-barfy vibes my way, it would be greatly appreciated. Ah, the joys of kids. And thank goodness for BacOut.

Bev: I know how horrible it is to have a machine in sick bay! I would die without my machines for a day or so. I drive an hour away to a guy who will fix it while I wait. He has embroidery disks to buy and fabric, so it is not too bad. Love that Glinda costume!! Hope we can put one together for my students that looks like that.

Well, ladies!! I'm still catching up on the treadle posts. I also looked up the featherweight since I didn't know what those were. Now I'm going to have to find a way to get me one of those. I also need to find the room in this too small house. I really need to get rid of this old school desk and get a tall bookcase so I can store all our school supplies. That would give me more room. I think I'm hooked.
Bonne and Jess~When will those blogs be started? Let's see one for treadles, one for spinning, etc. Let us know! LOL

Ruth: With you as our scarecrow, I think the cast is all set. I would so love to put a show together with you all. We would be superstars!! (Yes, I am sniffing my armpits now --hope you all remember that from SNL back in the day!--if not, I am really not a freak!)

I've got the shop open, with banner, and avatar, have my announcement, my policies, etc...and I have some vintage hats that would be perfect for steampunk costumes...I need to hit Joanns, and snag some dark yardage for base pieces...and some boning to make a first corset(which being a first...would prob be for me...eep) http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6031788

Stephanie- All this time I had no idea Miss Morgan was a dog. So, you can imagine my alarm at her licking the medicine off of your hubs finger! Jess- Flippin'heck! What a bad UPS man. Teach Sally to eat brown things. I think your patriotic quilt is gorgeous. Carol Sue- When I get that craft room cleaned and organised, I will take a picture. Right now it is still full of the detritus of Christmas. Autumn- Happy belated birthday to you! Your little jar quilt is wonderful. Bev- Super darling dress! You look mahvelous! Sheryl-lyn- Your husband helped you?! Good night! Love your collaboration. Monica- Put a good movie in the dvd player, snuggle under the covers and eat some chicken soup. Theresa- I hope Caleb is better. It sounds a bit like Fifth's disease to me. Better not be measles. Bonne- You are so not funny. I can't keep up with everything all in one place! Karin- The log cabin is amazing! You so rock.
Karin, the exhausted one.

That UPS man sounds like a candidate for one of those true crime books, you know, mild mannered UPS turns out to be truoly terrible. I hope you called headquarters and gave them what for.
For some reason when I read what you wrote I flashed back to Susannah's kindergarten bus driver, Scary Mary. A very large platinum blonde who had many tatoos and dressed like a dockworker. I was scared of her. Actually she was okay. First grade brought "Wiggy" to the end of our driveway. He would occasionally forget to stop at our house when dropping kids off, but Zan has always had a loud voice, so he started remembering. And then there was Bunker. He looked like he should be on the FBI 10 most wanted list. I started homeschooling my kids after a while. I never enjoyed school much myself, but then I was put in boarding school at age six and didn't manage to get kicked out until I was thirteen so I'm sure that had something to do with it....I know there are good schools out there, I just never encountered any.
Phone is still working though it has started crackling again today. My car is in the shop but they took pity on me and told me they would bring it out to my house in the morning. I appreciate that. My neighbor down the road apiece gave me a jump today, followed me to the car place, then took me to the supermarket and then home. Then he got stuck in my driveway. Poor guy. Good neighbor. He eventually got out with help from his son.
Thanks for the remarks on my quilts. I love the Guadaloopy one a lot, that took me a long time to do, but it was such fun. Unlike the current mini apron adventure. I am still stalled, but I did get a tiny idea this morning, so00 maybe I'll come up with something
Teresa, how is that baby doing?
Steph, How is your baby doing?
Naomi, I love looking at all the stuff you make, you are a wonder! All those little stuffies are so cute too...
Time to get supper on the table.
