Thanks!

One of my dearest friends is on her way to the Mayo Clinic. She has a rare condition-only 100 cases known of.
Cappillary leak syndrome and maybe related to something else called Mgus- just as rare!
UGH! I can barely stand to think of losing her too!!!

Anybody live near the Mayo Clinic???

Blessings,

I was 62 last July, does that make me the oldest on this part of the forum? Age never has bothered me, but will admit to a twinge when I turned 60. I do say it's not the years but the miles I've traveled and know some of you can relate. I'd sure love to give Marie the 40# she lost too...love your story on your blog Autumn. Hell, I'll give them to anyone or gladly just leave them somewhere to fend for themselves. Other than that, life is pretty darn good. When Larry asked what I wanted for Christmas and told him I didn't get what I asked for last year yet (a new sink and faucet in the kitchen), he told me everyday is Christmas for me..really can't argue that one thankfully. This year ended up being the new dishwasher, but first one I've ever been able to choose and that's a big plus. At this stage of life, I don't need any more jewelry and surely don't need something I won't use. My kitchen is important, so that made me happy.

Nay, isn't it nice that you will always be the youngest?? Well, that is unless Carmen makes an entrance in a few more years! hehehehe....I always tell my sister with every birthday that she will always be 7 years OLDER than I...LOL

Lanna, it was months after I joined the forum before I knew how young Naomi was...her mother is Tina Michelle..guess that's not going to help you if you don't know Tina..oh well, just take a guess!

lol. nay i will take it without wings and top hat but i love the changes you would make, it will take me a long time to barter and it would be well worth it(i am talking years lol)

Ok Bonne,
These are the treasures I found today. Now I need to squirrel away some money so I can pay for these. Unfortunately, I just used my little savings to buy some books we needed for homeschooling and need to build up again but this is something I definitely want to save for. I can't believe how many good machines are still out there.
Now I need to catch up on the rest of the posts from yesterday.

Naomi~I love the owl quilt. So cute.

It is beyond freezing here today. I just want to sit on a couch with a blanket and a cup of tea. We are working on school and I have to type up a French test for my daughter. Why am I on here? Oh, yeah~because I hate typing up these tests.

I have to go to work tonight and they say it will be all of 0. Thank God, my hubby installed an automatic start in our van.

hey teresa...you are younger than me! not by much, but u r!

YES nay is the littlest sister...carmen wants her own screenname so bad, i wonder how old she'll have to be.

oh teresa there are a fount of safe internet sites. I don't let the kids on very often, but they are out there.

ok..it is darn cold here...-6 right now with a high of 4 for the day..your snot freezes and your ace hurts in it. they did not cancel school but i wussed out. My kids are all home, so I am giving vocab tests and spelling tests. It is 52 in my house, so we are all in boots and hats and snowpants. How I wish John were here. My pipes in the back bathroom and laundry room are frozen, my sisters pipes are frozen as well. I want to call CS to see what to do but I think she is prob still in bed.

My sister had 5th disease as a kid once, looked like someone had smacked her in the face and back. good luck teresa.

autumn your dress is fab...i love the fabric it is beautiful! good job bonne!

i think the ups driver was just an idiot, it was addressed to my hubs business and although my house looks nothing like a business, i bet he thought it was...weirdo. anyway my doors will be locked for awhile.

poor sally will only pee or poo now if she is on her tie out, so i have to go out with my hairdryer on a very long extension cord , heat up the clip, clip her on, wait 5 mins, go back out with hairdryer, extension cord, and lead to bring her back in..and must plug in inside cuz the cover to outdoor outlets is frozen shut...i hate this cold..wish we were all in mexico

I hope it warms up for all of you!!!! You're all welcome to come visit me in Arizona! Right now it's about 40 outside, but it's supposed to get up around 70 today!

Jess, I know sometimes at my mom's in Ohio when the pipes would freeze we would use a hair dryer to thaw them out! We also used to put a small lamp with a low watt bulb by them just to give a bit of heat to keep them from freezing up!

Teresa, I will keep Caleb in my prayers! Hang in there!!!!

Autumn, The dress is lovely!! Bonne did a wonderful job!

Jess~We are having a the same kind of weather. I have the woodstove going on high trying to get the whole house warm. Hubby has a very old car and we were shocked when it started this morning. Actually, this car worked better before we repaired it. We spent $700 on the car this past summer so it would be good for the winter and it has actually been worse. Go figure. I was going to tell you the same thing as Monica for the pipes. I have always heard to use a hairdryer on low. I guess high is too much.

Monica~I bought a baby crochet book. I just love all the different projects they had. I am going to try to post a picture of it on my blog today.

Autumn~I just visited your blog. I love the dress!!! Your story is too funny. Send those lbs. back to Marie.

Teresa~So sorry to hear about Caleb. Is there anything you can take for that or does it have to just run it's course.
