I just cleaned the bathroom. I'm waiting for the potatoes to come out of the oven so we can eat.
I have a load of laundry that needs to be folded but I don't feel like it.
I'm going to go work on my hats for a few minutes until supper is ready.
Autumn~I can't wait until your pictures are up.

Dutchy girl, glad you neighbor was up and hugs to you girl.
Anything with peanut butter in it is not safe right now girls, so check everything. I told Teresa about this because of my Auntie who sent it to me....They still do not know the source of it all and it is salmonella poisoning.... didn't even think about dog treats dang it!!!! Dan bakes ours thank goodness..........will have to have him make some more....

Baked 2 loaves of cracked wheat bread too~those just out of the oven. No chocolate. Chocolate doesn't thrill me.
And yes, Linda, "Zeb" is my starter named after explorer Zebulon Pike. I thought it fitting because of sourdough's history and long journey West. "Shirley" lives with Jessica. ;)

The new Huskqvarna is like $10,000 to get back on that subject. I looked at it this past time we went to Connecticut. I would spend the money because I use my machine every day, but the way they depreciate is outrageous. I got mad when the guy told me my machine is becoming obsolete!! $5000 only like 6 years ago and it's obsolete? I still haven't used every feature on it and don't feel the need to upgrade.
BTW, any of you are welcome to come to NY any time! We live in the country (sort of) still. About 45 minutes from NYC. My town is the last exit on the expressway.
Bonne: I really had no idea about all that heat in Colorado. I have been learning about geography and weather patterns from you guys.
Our first drama club meeting went well today after school!! I think I picked a good cast again! YAY!

Rats! Not here yet...
I love the turquoise walls in her studio and I like the use of the big glass jars for small stuff.

Congratulations again Bev.
Gals, I have good news. I went to the sewing shop to talk to the repairman about my machine. He plugged in my machine to show me the problems with the screen. Lo and behold, it worked just fine. His partner replied, "The owner came in and the machine decided to get its act together." lol Whew! Saved me a lot of money. The repairman was miffed as he took it apart 3 different times, called the technical help at Viking and checked for loose connections.
I am on cloud nine on that one. I do have to get a new foot pedal though, and that in itself is costly, but at least I won't be handing extra money for the new screen.

Bev, Congratulations!!!!!
Sharon, I am so happy for you!! I hope you get it up and running soon!
Bonne, All I have to say is that she must not have kids!!!
Well, I got side-tracked finding the second half of my sink and I almost lost the first half! I did forget I put a load of laundry in so I am going to have to hang it up inside tonight!
I wish that all of you up north could come down here! It's 58 on my porch and my hubby grilled tonight which was a nice break! It was about 70 today!
Carol Sue, I think I am going to sew before cleaning from now on because I never seem to catch up with the cleaning anyway!!!

Gals, I am so happy. I just hope that the machine stays on its best behavior. I should hopefully have my machine back by Friday. He is waiting for the part for the cover, and I really should wait to use my machine until I get a new foot pedal. The one I have has a large crack in it, which could mess up my machine, if I use it as it is.

The last studio is ok...The structure is precious but I'm had enough of the the open shelf arrangement..too much dusting to keep up with.. You need some for display for what you have in progress or special pieces to display but the the DUST is a killer otherwise and the sunlight damages the fabric, ribbons, etc....I've got stuff that prooves that.
I'm going with as many cabinets with doors so that most all supplies are out of site...(I found a line of cabinet units at Lowe's) just a clean uncluttered look for a change...of course, that will probably last about a month, right! Well, it'a a plan anyway.
In my studio years ago I had almost all of my fabric hanging...that was fabulous.......these huge totes I've got right now obviously are for short term storage and good thing because they make you NOT want to look for anythiing....too much digging and tugging.
Jess, maybe you could do the hanging approach..I know you've got large barrels full..you're in the same boat as I with finding stuff or even remembering what's there. I used a 1 or 1 1/12" galvanized pipe for hanging....the hanger fit over it easy and it was strong as all get out and the put (floor to rod) supports every 4 feet. I think I used a 2 x 12 notched for the supports.
