I just posted a San Francisco style French Bread recipe in the Kitchen, under Bread the MaryJane way. Has yeast, but the starter adds a whole bunch of flavor to it.
That's one big family size loaf of bread Jess, hope it's wonderful and everyone loves it. Yippeee for Shirley the super starter.

Jess, that apron is soooo cute, especially the hearts on the ties, and you're baking bread...I'm impressed.

I am pleased to report that my car is now fixed. The body shop at the car place didn't notice that my new battery had gotten cracked in the accident I had, so it was slowly leaking battery acid and that's what made it not start. I called the insurance company and they paid for it too. Sheesh, I'm tired of yelling at car people.

Now since I saved all that money on having the battery replaced ( I didn't have the money) I figured I'd better go look at the treadle machine on craigslist tomorrow. Of course I was too stupid to figure out how to contact the seller, but thanks to the Treadle Queen , aka Bonne, I was able to contact the seller. Now to get most of the crap out of the hind end of my car, that should be fun. And since JoAnn's is in the same city as the treadle I'll maybe find what I need to finish my mini aprons. This is all making sense to me,,,,I haven't been sleeping a lot lately though....

Time to stagger off to bed....

Jess, your apron is very cute and your bread looked good too. Dh bakes again on Saturday, yippeee.

Karin, Oh Happy Day girl, now you know what the problem was, it is fixed and you got wheels again, so go get that treadle, you know you need one.....and definitly need ric rac there girl.

Good grief Jess, you have been going to town again haven't you!!!!!!

I had a good time at quilt group with one sad note, one of our gals there has made it through breast cancer and has been clean for only a year, to be put into the hospital this weekend, she has acute leukemia, caused by the medication she was given for the breast cancer....now that majorly sucks. So girls send good thoughts and prayers her way would ya. Great time with girls out but tough for that bit of news.

Ronna, You need your own cooking show on the Food Network...I like hearing about your recipes..wouldn't do for me to live near you though. It would be more than I could resist.

Carol Sue, that's a drag about your friend....these drugs..first they save you then they kill you...it's all a gamble to say the least.

I just received an email from a kind woman from farmgirl that she wishes to donate $10 towards my sons trip to woodward! I cried! I am going to keep track of all the money I receive so if I can not raise the $522.50 I need for my half of the trip all money will be refunded. If he does get to go then all will receive photos from my sons trip there and a huge thank you! God Bless that kind woman!

Wow! Naomi~you are one busy chick these days. I can't wait to see it all when you're done. My daughter is almost 16 and I think she will love your steam punk stuff. Can't wait to see it. What's the address for that shop? Is it on your blog?

Autumn~Too funny~That's right you give it to Marie~we should all have it so easy.

I need some of those spanks. Ds was 9 lbs 3 oz and let me tell you my body stretched in ways I could not believe to accommodate him and it's never been the same since. My ob/gyn actually told me it would $3000 to fix all that. That was 11 years ago and it's not pretty.

marsala is a wine, you can cook with it, some marsale is sweet, just depends on how you like it to taste. Here we sautee the chicken with buter and marsala after dipping in flour, then we add extra marsala in the end to make some what of a sauce, then serve over homemade egg noodles. Lots of peole use mushrooms with theirs, but since DH does not do mushrooms,. we do not do it. Now the marsala recipe I use is from Italy and I actually was allowed to have that one. You must buy a good marsala, not the cheap crappy cooking marsala on the shelf in the grocery, but go slow, do not cook it fast or it will be no good.

yes kim, farmgirls are the best.

I always forget bev has multi blog syndrome, hard for me to keep up with her.

ruth, i am so sorry. Ob/gyns make me so angry especially when they are the ones responsible for holding you all together, they are just too lazy to do it or never thought for a second that they should learn the actual tricks of the trade when it comes to delivering babies and keeping the mother intact. Too bad and such a shame. Good healthy babies should leave their mothers just as easily as pip squeaks....really just too bad we have let our society allow them to do this. Ok sorry, that is my soapbox, I will step down now. One thing that I feel passsionate about and sets me over the edge. Oh, what was that? Yes, I was stepping down from that soapbox, yes but a slow step.

CS...I will be thinking of your friend and sending happy quilty thoughts her way!

Autumn~I can't stand Algebra. My daughter is doing Saxon Algebra 2. I bought her the DIVE cd because I didn't want to teach it. She is good at mostly. I don't even like correcting it~it makes me dizzy. Never was good at it the first time, now I have to do it a second time.

Yes, I know Jess!! I really, really wish I had know more about midwives and homebirth. If I did it all again I would go that route. I would love to do it all again but hubby says no. I had alot of trouble for quite some time after he was born. For almost two years I was going to the gyn every 3 mon. because it wasn't good. I was only 25 and had alot to learn then. I was in the hospital 3 wks postpartum because of infection due to a small part of the afterbirth not passing.
