Thanks. It has been a real piece of work...I still have Andy to do...and her to finish...and then to make a quilt....also a pillow sham. Yikes!
Well, you all are making me crazy with the bread...so I have a loaf of Multi grain rising. Yum, nothing like warm bread...especially slathered with butter!

Yeah, I can't imagine that she would be able to get them all to nurse after two months in the neonatal unit. She could probably pump some for them that's about it. Nursing those babies would def. be a full time job.
Jess~I just emailed you.

I hope everyone is staying warm today! It's freezing here also! It says it's 40, but it's windy so it's even colder! I really do want to know where the global warming is going on at! Usually it warms up when the sun comes up, but it hasn't done that today!
Linda, Have fun on your date! I am no help with movie choices either! The last one I went to see was Changeling and I couldn't even tell you what's out now!
Naomi, I like the cards! Very cool!
My house is reasonably clean today so I am off to spin some yarn!

Bev, that quilt is going to be a dazzler!
Ruth, I just checked out all your owl hats in the Marketplace area, they are so sweet...
I am trying to persuade myself to go right up to my sewing room and get going on the mini aprons. i don't know why I am having such a hard time with these little items, and then there are so many to make this time. I'll blame it on mid winter doldrums I guess.
Jess, nice to see all your new pictures, the bread looks fabulous, the bags are great, the faery costume is spectacular, not that I ever expect less.
Right, off to the dreaded minis...

About those babies....changing poopy diapers would be a full time job. Oh I can see it now, I would have constant nightmares that I forgot to feed one of them. I would have to use the checkmark on the forehead system to make sure each got fed. This whole scene sounds like torture....and I love babies.... Oh it just seems to me that if we were supposed to have litters, we would be equipped with more than just two feeding stations.

Bev~that was too funny~more than two feeding stations. I have never heard it put that way.
I don't know how she will do it. Probably with alot of help. I'm sure there will be alot of volunteers. That's how Jon and Kate did it with sextuplets? Anyone watch that show?

That's good you all are wearing your caps out~the best way to get more sales is to show them out and about and WHOOO else has one? Where can they get one? Hope you get avalanched Ruthie!!
Speaking of caps, I gotta get Red out on the roof to clean out the chimney cap again. Been burning wood non-stop since this cold snap. Geez, I wanna bake some more bread but Red's been telling me to stop baking like I'm feeding the ranch hands~lol I'm just so amazed at how this bread rises so well without any added yeast. Bryn went nuts for it yesterday. I'll have him baking it next, as I left some starter up in his fridge.

OK, here is my question, Bonne....how long can you have the starter in the refrig and ignore it? Will it eventually grow and take over my whole fridge, kitchen, house...if I don't bake it often enough...cause it seems like you are baking daily.
If I start eating bread at this alarming rate, my fat quarters will be hanging off my hips instead of being neatly folded in my sewing room!

in the fridge, i think u only feed it small portions once a week, equal parts flour and water
and your fat quarters would be folded neatly, mine are ll over the place strewn about

Yes, I believe Ronna said you can put it in the fridge and feed once a week. Heck, mine was out on the mule train for 8 days before I finally received it and it survived. Ronna also said you can spread a thin layer on parchment paper, let it dry and then crumble it into an airtight container/ziplock to save it in a dried form. The starter isn't what expands so much. It's when you mix it into the "sponge" and ultimately into dough. That's when it takes off.

Oh Bonne: I opened my package up completely and there it was...A gorgeous blue beret for my very cold head!! You are the best. I am wearing it right now in the house while I type away here!! Love it and you are the sweetest thing!! Thanks.
Ruth: I wore my owl hat to school today. My students all loved it and say I should wear it every day! They are 12-14 years old and think it is adorable---even on me!
Well, tonight is another night that we know snow is coming. A few inches expected by tomorrow, so we will see if I am home all day or just for a few hours in the morning. I would rather just go in.
Making pizza tonight. I make a regular one with cheese and sauce and another one that is a baked potato pizza. That is the family favorite, so we are all excited.

speaking of fat quarters...I got all mine neatly folded and tucked in a shoe box, my fabric that I don't plan to use is all packed away, my felt and remaining fabric is neatly folded and stacked in my cabinet, my scraps are neatly folded into a basket, and my larger scraps I don't plan on using are all packed away, and my room still looks like a tornado went through it...though not nearly so bad...once I get it all neat and tidy I'll have to get a picture...it'll last longer. *STILL* a ton to do though to get it looking decent...
