sharon was it the monopoly one?
corners dont need to be clipped, she can cut em herself, you should not refund her a dime, tell her to keep it.

Thank you Jess. My point exactly. Yes, it was the Monopoly one. I told her that I would refund her the auction price paid plus the shipping of the item back first class. This was her reply: No thank you. I have no intention of losing money on this purchase, while you break even and have the items to resell. I was told by eBay not to reply to her any more. If she leaves negative feedback, the representative told me that people will see that I have good feedback, and would see through the feedback left by this person.

Hey all! Been out ALL day!!!! I am bushed!!! My Bible study group had a Bag sewing day today- I took advantage of the day off(I usually have the job of facilatator)and sewed dd's diaper bag. Turned out adorable! Then went to see Marilyn-my sick friend. Wonderful visit!!! I just love spending time with her. She & hubby plan to come visit on Sunday.
Also visited my father in law at the hospital-he has another blood clot-but he seems happy enough. He's 82 and is a stroke victim but is chirpy and happy-just cant understand a word he says!!! My head hurts and my stomach is just yucky!! If I feel better later I'll try to get a picture up of the bag we did today! Love to you all!!!!

Sharon, I hope everything works out with the quilt! You customer sounds like one of those people that still would not be happy even if you personally handed her a full refund!

Monica, I believe that you are right. I am with Jess too. I think that I have had a couple of negatives in the whole time I was selling. One time, it was because the post office took a whole month to deliver a book and to a friend no less. The other negative was something because the buyer was much like this one. You can't please everyone, and there are those people who will never be pleased no matter what you do.

Good Morning Ladies!!! Where is everyone this morning? I was thrown off some when I had to go to the second page of the forum to find the thread!! I actually got some yarn spun last night, which is a major accomplishment considering I have been trying to do it all week! Where are those house faeries? I could really use them to come and clean my house so that I can get something else done!!
Bonne, I have been keeping an eye out on craigslist, but I also realized that even if I found a treadle, I have no idea where I would put it!!

| Awfully quiet here today...everyone busy with family and such. I've sent a bunch of pics of my quilts to Jess, she'll post some when she has time. One day maybe I'll learn to do it myself...just need to take the time to do it. |

Oh good Ronna, I'm looking forward to seeing your quilts and your treadle. Aren't we lucky Jess is such a terrific photographer's assistant?
Didn't get to sleep until about five thirty this morning. Couldn't get comfortable. Oh well. Since we have no car at least I have things I can cook, and that will be good. I'm going to bake bread again, make meatloaf for supper and whatever veggies that haven't transmogrified into something unidentifiable. The sun is out and the snow is sparkling.
I've only got a few more aprons to go. I'm not too happy with them, but sometimes I just have to stop whining about them and figure that is the best I can do at this point in time. I'm really excited about the polka dot one, no ideas of how to do them, I just love polka dots.
Did I mention that the snow plow totally smashed my mailbox and it is now under a six foot ice bank at the end of my driveway. The post master is really annoyed with me and keeps telling me to hire someone to build me a new one, but the ground is pretty frozen under all this snow and ice. I'm trying to ignore him.
Well I better go start my bread. Hope you are all well and warm..

I happened to find two stacks of 1860's era magazines yesterday. Godey's Lady's Book and Demorest's Illustrated Monthly Mirror of fashions. Many engravings of fashions, hairstyles, needlework, floor plans of homes and very interesting ads. About a dozen total and paid $15 for all. Not the best shape, but for being almost 150 years old, they're great. These were at Goodwill, just waiting for me. Guess that's why I went into Reno with my daughter, to find them. Luckily, here in Nevada, no moisture to cause mildew and mold to grow, paper just gets quite fragile. Karin, enough already. Your car has been a total pain with all the problems since the accident and the snow and ice have not helped one bit. |
