Nope they did not have the courtesy of even lettin me know..I think they have attacked about 20 or more of my trees so far today..i have a beautiful Magnolia and I am scared to death what they will do to her...We have really made sure we keep her trimmed up nicely and we have built a wood pation underneath her with a wooden trellis type thing and a counter. I can hang my orchids on the frellis in the summer, our grills are over there and a beautiful bistro table and chairs my husband got me for our 10th anniversary. We go there on warm summer nights after the kids are in bed and drink wine. And I just know they are gonna wreck up my spot. they could atleast not make em look bad, you know be nice to the trees, make em still have dignity...JEEEEEEEZ!!!!!!!! All I hear today is 10 men with chainsaws and my dog barking like a crazy dog.

oooh...man...annoying idiots....so many of your trees close to powerlines!?...I thought they could only trim what is 5 feet or so in from the road...

unfortunately a couple decades ago someone decided to get rich off my house. I live in an old farmhouse that used to belong to an enormous farm. About 25 yrs ago the sold more than 200 acres of it to developers, and only kept a little more than 2 acres for the house, so surrounding me on 3 sides are crummy 70's subdivion houses and golf courses. And then they let someone build a house and share our driveway. The part of the farm that was across the street is still owned by descendants of the family who bought the farm and chopped it up. They have 4 houses on it and about 20 acres that the family horses are kept on. So I have a whole lot of trees that are very very old, but one by one they are growing too close to powerlines that serve the subdivion behind me. Anyway, all of this has been like this forever, and I fell in love with this house years before it was ever available for me to purchase, adn by stroke of good luck ....here I am raising my family in a small yellow farmhouse from 1874. The house and my little piece of the world has great energy...i just wish everyone else would just leave it alone.

Gals, please keep my mom in your thoughts. The toxic levels in her body are extremely high, and yet she refuse kidney dialysis. She will undergo an evaluation today by a psychiatrist, and deemed incapable of making sound decisions, I have the ability to say take her to the hospital. I hope that my mom doesn't disown me like she did my older brother. Too many other things all going on at the same time, which is pulling me in all directions. I can't explain it.

Thanks Gals. I only had a few hours of sleep last night. I still have to make more copies for my mom's case (not the nursing home).

My sympathies to you Sharon~I know what it is to deal with a , shall we say, "not clear-thinking" parent~ ((hugs)).

Naomi! Now that's a real country gal!! "get a gun!" LOL Sit on the front porch with your shotgun and your logger boots peeking out from under your skirts and a corncob pipe in the corner of your mouth! ROFL! "Git offa my land!"

Autumn, I've always loved the concept of elopement!! Then have a big party afterwards~they're easier to plan than weddings and much more fun for everyone. ;) lol

Hey- I heard this muffled scream and went searching all over the place and guess what I found??? Linda(yarnmamma) was screaming (from MJ farm ) at me to check in here! So here I am!!It worked!
Bonne- yeah-they wouldn't take the wedding money and run- both are far too level-headed!!!
Bev-yes I got my patch-I just got started with my other one so now I need to get creative again.
Thanks so much and it is lovely!
I've had a brainstorm for my number patch swaps but until I get it done I will keep it a surprise- hopefully it will be a good surprise!
Ya'll have a good day and I'll check in again soon!

Blessings,
Autumn

Carol Sue,

I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better. The exercise will help a whole lot with the depression. Are you still around late at night? I enjoyed our late night ramblings. I wound up sick for several months but enjoyed reading the topics even if I didn't feel like posting. I'm finally feeling much better now.

I just know 2008 is gonna be a good year for health and prosperity!

You hang in there,

oh man i just got the call from my Dad, he has been at the 3rd Neurosurgeon all day...this one will do the surgery, not a huge percentage of success, he will have some very permanent side effects that will pretty much put him on permanent disability for evr...and surgery is scheduled for non other than Valentines Day and will be a 2 day procedure....deep breath...as I am holding down the whole family and keeping everyone together. I gotta go take my daughter to hockey practice...have a good evening girls.

My thoughts are with all of you who are having family issues. Ihave been there myself several times and can relate to you.

I agree with those of you thinking that eloping is a great idea. My husband and I did that very thing (my 2nd marriage, his first) and it was the best. I highly recommend it.

I recommend that book~ the concept is so simple and they stitch up in no time.
Plus they actually fit, since you've designed them from your own measurements.

Bev. It has definitely a rocky road. My mom sounded so weak on the phone today, and still in denial about her failing health. They are still awaiting for an evaluation by psychologist on her state of mind.
