Oh yes, the poopeaters..LOL I had a miniature schnauzer that loved chicken poop. And of course he always showed up wanting to give me some poopy smelling kisses.

You gals are so funny. I need a good laugh today. I was told that my mother was being discharged from the hospital and going back to a nursing home, so you know what that means. A friend said that he knows someone who might be able to give me help/suggestions. My mom was doing well and had a good outlook on life again, but that has diminished since she found out about being discharged. My mother was getting kidney dialysis at her bedside, which was allowing her pelvis and hips to to stay put, so that they could heal.

I finished up my Western mini-aprons today!! I know, I'm just totally insane~the swap hasn't even started yet.
It was in the teens for hi's today, so I started a fire in the garage/workshop ~ brought out a couple cats and stitched away today on my treadle that I dragged out to the garage. LOL!

when will the western mini's swap start?
I will most likely join in on that one. It sounds so fun..of course the Valentine one does as well...but I couldn't make up my mind about joining in..but for the Western theme..I think I'd like to join in.
I'll have to wrangle(hmm..cute pun there..ha) the sewing machine away from Nay for a day though.

Bev thinks I should have a bitty sewing machine in the bathroom! LOL I'll put the dollhouse treadle machine Carmen sent me in there!!! hehehe
The stove is just a free standing Orley. We just bought another one
to use in the garage and are going to put this one into the house. Nothing pretty about
them~got'em used, but they heat up wonderfully. We have access to wood, just have to cut it ourselves , and hubby collects chainsaws like I do sewing machines~LOL Next year I want to see a teeney tiny bill from the energy company. Where we get our wood, the area has been infested with pine beetles in years past,(western slope) and there are acres and acres of standing dead. Just on the news, they are saying the infestation has moved to the eastern slope(of the continental divide)and will affect these trees in 3-5 yrs, so we will be seeing instead of lush green west of Denver, a reddish brown in a few yrs. Unfortunate, but not a surprise, as the "authorities" for the affected areas didn't get a handle on it. Anyway, there's a bit of Colorado "news" for you.
I can't believe I got the western mini's done~took 3 days, but yeah, Spring.......Patriotic..........LOL I gotta go with the flow while it's flowing. Every so often I hit a sewing slump and can't create a thing. That's what happened with the Halloween mini's~I dragged those out for weeks. Couldn't even think about doing Xmas minis.

Well, Bonne, because of YOU....I hit Hancock's today...bought a little western fabric...and ideas are just a whirrling!!!! BTW....I don't think you can win the apron if you send them in before the swap is even announced!!! LOL....I was first in the Halloween swap and got a wonderful reversible Halloween apron.....which I love and wear even now after Christmas.....weird, huh?

And about that machine in the bath....better make sure it is a treadle....we don't want you to electrocute yourself!!! (what a way to go....sewing!)

Hey Jess, that cute little treadle of yours (that I have been admiring now for 3 or so months) is finally going to make its first leg of its trip West next Wednesday....going as far as Pittsburgh where it will be picked up and on its way to its next resting place in Ohio....one state closer to you!!!

Whooo hooo another machine to add to the collection!!
I keep one at my son's house. Jess is going to need 7 , just to keep at her kids's places when they eventually move out on their own, so it's good that she's starting to plan for that now.

Since I was first to arrive for the Valentine's Swap, that will disqualify me for 1 calendar year for any "firsties" on subsequent mini swaps. I made that up, but it sounds fair, right?
My cats want to go out in the garage again today!!! So many things to explore~LOL
I'll have to start a fire and rustle up another project to work on. Probably make my hub nervous that we'll take over his precious area~start putting frilly curtains on the windows or something.....ROFL!

Hey Y'all,

I had a message from Linda (yarnmamma)...replied and haven't heard back...She hasn't posted since January the 8th...Does anyone else keep up with her? I don't think I've seen anyone mention her lately. Want to make sure she's ok..If you know anything please let me know. I know she and Danny both have been sick off and on and she doesn't have any extended family.

Thanks,
Stephanie
