I finally put up an incredibly sturdy 8-foot anti-deer fence for a big kitchen garden out behind out farmhouse. Well, it's big for me: 16 x 24 feet. It has a lot of vertical features, so that's a lot more space than you might think. I'm planting small amounts of about 24 different varieties of veggies (with marigolds and nasturtiums sprinkled in) and plenty of herbs around the periphery. We'll see what does best and plan next year accordingly.
I'm so thrilled with this garden, I just can't tell you. How about your plans this year? What are you (or will you be) growing? I'd love to hear all the juicy details! |
