I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. Who better than to give me input on these than the Farmgirls?!? If you would kindly check out my shop and give me your thoughts on these feed sack purses and totes I would really appreciate it. I am wondering about pricing and presentation. Currently working on a new banner for the shop.
Thanks, girls!

I think they're wonderful, Ginny! What a great idea! And,how lucky you are to have such a stock of the old feed sacks. They're harder to come by here, and never in good enough condition to utilize that way.

Wonderful! I think the price is very fair, though I would like to see them on a bale of hay, or hanging from a stall or something. Just for kitsch :)

Why, thank you very much!
If it ever stops RAINING here I'd love to take some photos outside. I will definitely do that just to change things up a bit.

Great Idea Ginny, love the feedsack purses and totes - they are really graphic and look "high - end". What a great way to recycle and make a statement! And BTW, I think your pricing is very fair!

Best Wishes and Keep creating!

Your things are all very nice, and a little differnt from what we have seen. Where do you get such nice feed sacks? Maybe some feed sack towels, or pillows would be fun to add. Or maybe frame some small parts of a fed sack for little kitchen pictures.

Yeah, I really like the H. Bryant feed purse a lot...Nice bold graphics, and I even like the patched "S"....maybe thinking about that one for me :)

Gosh, you guys are like little rays of sunshine. Thank you!

I do have a pillow listed - it's gotten a lot of views but no one bought it and I'm not sure why. I love that feed sack!

Towels are a good idea from a utilitarian standpoint, but the ink doesn't hold up well. They were made that way on purpose back in the day so that resourceful mamas could make clothes and such and not have their kids walking around with "CHICK STARTER" on their fannies.

I am constantly on the prowl for feed sacks at auctions. Ebay has gotten too expensive.

I just saw Mr. Magorium the other night and I love that quote. It made me think of my dear little grandma, which made me cry. That was a sweet movie.

Again, thank you. It's good to get feedback from kindred spirits.

And yes, they are priced a little bit low for what I've got in them but hey, it keeps me out of mischief if I'm in my studio sewing, right?

{curtseying} Thank you!

I just bought some coffee bean sacks to make more market totes, and some neat old quilt tops. I'm going to be busy... Seeing as how it's cold and rainy and I can't play in the dirt, I might as well sew!

nashbabe-
there are measurements listed for the bags, unless I missed one. I'll double check - thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Thanks, everybody, for taking the time to check them out. I really appreciate your kind words!

Now I would like your opinions on the banner.

I had someone make it for me and the proof looked pretty good, but now that it's up I think it looks blurry (the letters, I mean). It's bugging me. What do you girls think?
