Oh, I am certainly sorry your friends husband is in the hospital. Not a fun way to have to miss something. So today you are cleaning and getting ready for the next batch of company.
Before you know it, it is gonna be Thanksgiving, goodness time is flying fast.....

If you can get anyone to help you do that, it is worth thousands of pies! That must be a job and a half. Glad you are doing well. How you cookin' that venison?

Jeannie I soaked it all day in salt water rhen washed it real good, I then coated it with Ky fried chickenmix, oh I for got ai also sprinkled tenderiser and fried slow, Now I gotta tell you about these Ky mountain hunters they can tellthe biggest tales you have ever heard, I was getting the food on the table and one of them asked me where the knives was so I just popped back that I wouldnt be much of a cook if you had to have a knife to cut my meat

Now Sterls brother can tell tales lots bigger than Sterl, so tonight he was telling cousin David that Sterl used to have these old coon dogs, and he trained them so well that Sterl would just cut a board for the size coon he wanted them to bring in, then one night Sterl put my old wooden iorning board out on the porch and those old dogs left and have never come back

Be safe and behave! Would love a road trip! Robert, Ivey and I are looking for a day we can just hop in the car and take off for the mountains! Maybe next week! We have this crazy town in north Georgia called Helen that is ALL German alpine themed! Ivey loves it! So maybe a little touch of the ole' German heritage is in order! One year when she was little, she was in school and it was february - Black History month. she came home and asked Who HER people were! LOL So she then became engaged with her Irish/German heritage! She embraced March's Irish heritage month! (our own invention) and of course October with German Heritage month also known as Oktoberfest! Her school wasn't sure what to make of us! Needless to say we homeschool now!!! LOL

Wilma - Can I take some pics of the pine dry sink you bought at Burlington? I've got some old aged pine boards that were on the side of the farmhouse. I've got an idea that maybe I could have a dry sink made out of them. :)

MIss Wilma - I have a friend who tells tall tales, too, and I always fall for them!!!! It never fails. He laughs and makes a hand sign like he is reelin' me in again. And I get kidded for being so gullible all the time. I would not stand a chance with your fellas.
That way of cooking the venison sounds pretty good. I heard some people also brine their turkeys before thanksgiving, and I am thinking of trying it this year. Have fun fishin!
