Hi my name is Chasity and I found this site by mistake but am so glad I did, it is awesome. Growing up I never thought I would grow to LOVE the country life but once meeting and marrying my husband, he introduced me to this wonderful lifestyle, now I wonder how I ever lived without it. We have 2 wonderful daughters who also seem to love everything about the country.
We have goats, hogs, cattle, chickens, guineas, and a couple of dogs...lol. Actually we had a new addition of triplet goats 3 days ago (oohh so cute). |

Welcome Chastity, how ever you found us! You sound like a busy gal. I am between pets right now (just had to put my dog to sleep ) but I have plenty of wild ones to feed and entertain me. Chicken and goat keepers abound around here...tripletts?????yikes. The poor goat mama. Anyway, welcome to another Farm Girl. See you around the chat room! |

Hi Chastity,
I'm new here too. Sounds like you have a lovely array of farmyard friends. My husband and I have been trying to get to the country for a number of years, and it seems like we'll be getting there pretty soon. We just bought a farm and enough land to keep us busy. I'm hoping to get some sheep and goats. Maybe you'll be able to give me some advice. Right now we're pretty much living in the city but we have managed to have a mini-mini-farm aka our backyard. We have a duck pen and pond which is the main attraction to most neighbors with little children. We have two dogs, 4 cats, one tortoise who roams the backyard, two rabbits, and five children. We have a 8 x 6 raised bed vegetable garden and a backyard full of flowers.
I'll be looking for you and I'm glad we both found our way here. Take care, Cristina |

Welcome to the forum Chastity, you'll love it here! Have you got any pictures of the goat triplets? Please post them if you do. My hubby's parents had 3 calves born last Christmas...we christened them "The 3 Wise Men". What a great surprise! Enjoy your time here!

Welcome Chasity! This site is wonderful, isn't it? And so is the country life! Can't wait to get there myself! Sounds like you have quite an array of farm critters! Me, I only have cats but would someday like to have chickens, goats, sheep, maybe a dairy cow and a horse! But for now, I'll have to settle with cats. I don't think the neighbors would be too fond of chickens running around my yard! Ah, the joys of living in the suburbs! I tell ya, people are way too closed minded around here! Maybe if I bribed them with fresh egss...
Much love, Laura |
