Hi, I'm new too! My name is Teresa and I'm a storyteller. I grew up in Maryland, but the wide open spaces of the West called me home. I've never lived on a farm, but the fantasy has always loomed large, definitely a farm girl at heart. I've dedicated my life to helping people share in voice and written word the stories of their lives. I long for the days of sitting on a front porch sipping lemonade listening to the old folks talk about the bygone days. I can't wait to learn from all of you and hear your stories!

Hi Teresa, We actually have a feature in the MaryJane Magazine called "every woman has a story", written by a long time farmgirl named Ardis. I am a farmgirl thru and thu. I grew up in dry land wheat country in North Eastern WA state. I now live in Prosser WA. and work for MaryJanesFarm as sisterhood Coordinator. I am the proud mom of four boys ranging in ages of 22 to 11. My husband is a farmer~ he works for Bolthouse Farms growing organic carrots. I too love to write. I cant wait to hear more about you and your craft of writing.
Welcome to the farmgirl forum I am thrilled you are here.

I do tell stories at schools!...and weddings and funerals and bridal showers and festivals and....you get the idea. Basically, wherever folks are gathered I'm ready and willing to tell a story.
But! Even more importantly, I'm ready and willing to listen and help others find, capture, and share the stories of their lives. I find everyone has a fascinating story if we just take the time to hear it.
In that light - visit my blog and enter my contest! I've got the tools to get your family talking.

Welcome, Teresa!
I'm in Idaho too, but near Burley.
I'm fascinated with stories in 'ordinary' people's lives also. I'm a bit hampered in gathering them by the littles swarming around me, but I'm getting back into it and really enjoying it.
I'll be glad to get to know you!

Hi, Teresa! You'd sure fit in here in Louisville. We have something called "The Corn Island Storytelling Festival" every year.
