Hi Everyone,
Just wanting to send out warm wishes from Alberta, Canada and to see if there are any farmgirls near me. I was raised on a farm but currently live in my hometown (of 1800 people). I'm married with 2 kids (one boy, one girl) and am trying to make the world a better, more beautiful place for them. I bought my first MaryJane's Farm magazine last year (Vol 7, #4) and it resonated deeply with me. I truly believe what the world needs now is more Farmgirl (and boy) pluck, determination and "Can-do" spirit.
Anyhow, looking forward to getting to know you all better and connecting with other farmgirls out there! :-)

Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome! :-)
MaryBeth, Bow Island is located in between Lethbridge and Medicine Hat on Highway 3. I think I'm about 110 kms east of Lethbridge. We usually pop into "The Hat" for a trip to the city as it's considerably closer, only about 50kms (or 30 miles-ish).
Anyhow, I'm glad to be here and look forward to getting to know all of you better too! :-D

Christie,
My daughter and I have been going to Cardston the past two Augusts to attend the Miniature Horse Chuckwagon Races. We've hit Lethbridge both times, last year just going there long enough to get something to eat at Tim Horton's!
I might have been to Bow Island about 12 years ago. Although probably not. We went to Writing On Stone and I remember a place called Manyberries (?).
Welcome! Karin |

A big Southern hug, from one of the Louisiana farm girls! Amen! My aunt once cross stitched a sampler that I heartily agree with. It says "God grant me the determination and tenacity of a weed."
