Alright...I'm biting the bullet...I need a change, and Violet is starting to wrap her powerful little fingers in my hair (ouch!)...it's long, very long, with layers and what used to be longish bangs but they've grown out.
I'm looking for suggestions (pics if you can think of it)...I have a round face, and I don't want to buy a curling iron or buy stock in hair products. The longest amount of time I will spend in the bathroom is 10 minutes (including makeup).
Any internet sites that you like for hairstyles? There are so many, sometimes I just get overwhelmed.

Maybe a short pixi cut? thats what I have and it doesn't take long to fix. i call it wash ans go hair.

www.ivillage.com has some good insights into good cuts for your face shape. I know what when your face is round, they usually do say a shorter fuller cut is awesome. Try that site though and hopefully it will help. It has this little makeover thing you can try to get an idea of what haircuts would look good on you.

That's what I'm looking for! Wash and go! I have always had long hair, and I'm lucky if I comb it :)

lol..Jonni-- I have fairly long hair a couple inches passed my shoulders, but it is layered all over. Its very wash and go. When you have little ones, I can't imagine having it any other way.:D Hubby wants me to grow mine out this pregnancy just to see how long it will get..lol

Well, I was a ballerina, and it was always just so simple to put it up in a bun, or braid it or whatever, then I got long layers and bangs, and it's fine, but they grow out, right? And then it's just sort of a mess...and then little Vi, boy howdy does she pull on things right now! Hair, faces, chins, whatever is within her grasp!
My husband loves my long hair, too, but he's actually the one who said, "why don't you cut your hair if it's bothering you?" And I thought, "yeah! Why don't I????"

Pixie cuts are very cute, but in my experience, you have to get it trimmed and/or colored very often, or it looks awful. However, for wash and wear, it is awesome.
Can you go with a shorter version of what you have-something almost shagged?
Or an inverted bob? Or perhaps something like Reece Witherspoon had in Sweet Home Alabama?

My daughter has a very round face. I just cut her hair in an extreme bob. Very short in the back with longer points in the front that end above her chin with short straight bangs. Her hair is stick straight and no matter what she does (even going to bed with wet hair) it always looks perfect. I've also worn that style, but my hair grows at least an inch a month and it was too expensive to keep it looking good. Now I just have hubby snip the ends off straight every few months.

I have a very round face....either a short,just below the chin with a side part one length bob with a slightly higher back (asymetrical) or a pixie work for me just fine. Longer bangs work because they break up the line of your face.

Heather is right. I have the high back long bang look (kinda like Kate Gosselin just not quite so short). It's my favorite cut I've had in a long time. I like mine longer best but with so many little ones, goats, gardens....forget it.

Oh, thank you Kate. I surely needed that today (my monthly "friend" came for a visit and I hate surprise visitors!!!)...feeling like a yuk!
I was thinking about that actress, Kirsten Dunst (Spiderman?)...anyway, she and I have a similar facial structure, and similar hair (fine...NOT THIN as my husband referred to it!!!), and I've seen her with some bob-type cuts like you girls have mentioned above. I'm thinking that's what I'm going to go with...
I don't want to fool with color, though being a blond is certainly appealing for a change...my dark brown locks can be sooooooo...brown.
Thanks so much for the suggestions! It has helped me immensely to make up my mind. Now, just to find the right salon!!!
