I am new to any blogs and not even sure I am in the right area. I have a question about using vinegar in the wash, my grandma did it with amazing results, but how do you use it in the front loading washers? In the fabric softener holder? And also, the apron exchange looks like fi=un. I live in Cass Co, Mo, any farmgirls this way?
Hey Carol!! I live in MO also. Do you get the MJF magazine? The most recent issue has several recipies showing how to use vinegar (and baking soda, borax, washing soda, etc) as cleaning products. I do not have a front loading washer, but a number of people on this forum add the vinegar just like fabric softner. I can't think why it wouldn't work in a front loading washer the same way.
Welcome to the forum!
The chief source of failure and unhapiness is trading what you want the most for what you want at the moment.
Welcome to the forum Carol and yep I have a front loader and you just put the white vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser. Toss a couple clean tennis balls in the dryer during the winter to help remove static cling. I love white vinegar in place of fabric softener. Now my bath towels actually absorb water again....LOL.
