Hello to everyone and greetings from Southwestern Pennsylvania! I am so excited to be a part of the Farmgirl connection! What a great way to be in touch with others who have the same interests as I do!!! A little about myself - I am happily married to the same wonderful guy for 40 years, have two grown daughters, one precious grandson, who is 8, 3 lovable furry cats, and my husband and I adopted two wonderful greyhounds last October. I was born in Germany and spent most of my young life there with my Grandfather who owned a little cottage out in the country. The smells of his garden have never left me and I still smell the fresh carrots we pulled and the dill he grew. Although I live in the suburbs of Pittsburgh now, my love for everthing country has never left me. When I was first married we lived on a small farm and raised our own vegetables. Unfortunately, we had to move to the city because our jobs brought us there! And here I am 35 years later...a country girl at heart who tries to bring the country to the Suburbs! My 1950's split level has been transformed into a Tasha Tudor cottage, I cook, read, sew, craft, garden, still put up the things I harvest or get at the local farm, have an online jewelry business with my younger daughter, make Faery doors & cottages and I am sure a million other things that have not been mentioned. I look forward to hearing from others who have the same interests or who may even live in my own area and learning more! My heartfelt thanks for this wonderful outlet!

Hi Barbara: Welcome to the MJF forum/connection. I love cats also. I have two inside, and five outside. I had a sister name Barbara. She passed away about two and a half years ago from cancer. Hope you enjoy reading the postings and sharing postings with us. Marly
