Hello, all!! I'm new to the forum and to Farmgirl life! We recently moved to a little plot of land in Southern Indiana from a tiny lot in a cramped neighborhood and we couldn't be happier!! Our dogs love all the space to run and I finally have my very own flock of guineas.
I'm not sure how much detail is needed here, but here are the basics: I've been married for 11 years to a wonderful man, so far we just have 3 dogs and 10 guinea fowl, no human babies (yet). I'm 29 and have been for a couple years now. I work in public accounting and right now most of my free time is consumed with studying for the CPA exam. We moved up here in October and really don't know anyone in the area, so I'm hoping this forum will help me meet some other farmgirls in my area...and across the country!!
I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Thank you for the welcome! I'm so tickled to have found this forum!
Miss Bee~ I actuall work in Louisville (I'm there right now!), and some of my husband's family lives in Irvington - what a small world!! He grew up in Meade County, but the family is spread out among Meade and Breckinridge Counties. |

Hello, Stephanie. I just welcomed you over in the Barnyard. I see now that you don't have chickens. I hope you have fun here and just jump right on in.

Wow, Stephanie! Irvington is such a small city! Three weeks ago, we nearly drowned in the flash flood here in Lou. and when I rented a dumpster to throw out the contents of 25 years of basement 'stuff', the nice man who brought the dumpster had family in Irvington/Bewleyville, too! This is wild! Right now, I'm in downtown Louisville at Jefferson Community College. My dh is the Director of the New Albany, In Animal Shelter. I thrift store shop in Indiana a lot. :D And go to auctions there, too.

Hi Stephanie from another Hoosier!
Corydon is such a beautiful area. Where did you move from? I know there are some Farmgirls near you, don't remember their names, but I think one was from Lanesville or Georgetown and another from Laconia. Hopefully you can connect with them!
Good luck on your CPA exam. I come from a family of accountants, so I know how stressful it can be. Glad you joined! |

Welcome to MJF Stephanie! I'm an almost neighbor. LOL I live in Boonville, In. It's ummm I guess a little northeast of Evansville. Kind of west of you, bout a 45 minute to 1 hour drive away. Somewhere on the boards is a topic asking about who all the KY and Southern IN girls are. Wouldn't it be lovely to get all us together?!
Anyhoo welcome to group! I know your going to love it here.

I live across the river in Louisville but we are considering a move across the bridge in a couple of years. It would be wonderful to have a get-together!

| I work at a CPA firm on Market St. I worked for Pharmerica (briefly) when we first moved up here - I think they are somehow related to Kindred Healthcare. |

Welcome to the Farm Stephanie! Hope you'll love it here! I am not sure how all Indiana is set up or anything, but I went to school out in Indianapolis for a while. Pretty up there, but boy oh boy does it get cold!! Are ya freezing yet? hehe Looking forward to getting to know you better! hugs
Jessie

| Your username caught my attention. My daughter has a young guinea pig that she adores and I was thinking maybe farm girls do have guinea pigs, but guinea fowl makes mkore sense. We have 15 hens of various breeds and a Rhode Island Red rooster. They're like watching an outdoor aquarium some times, relaxing and a stress reliever. --Amy |
