Hi all,
Just started today and am excited to be a part of the Farmgirl Connection. Farming is in my genetic makeup - we have been Dairy Farmers for many generation. I, however, have no cattle - dogs yes, one who gallops like a horse! Anyway, I do garden and preserve my harvest. Also, help our young friend out in Hay season, check on her Horses when she is away. I am a quilter, crafter and so on. I work outside of the home, so, my time is limited doing all the things that I love so much. Thank goodness for my Granmother and my Mother sharing all of the how-to's that they could!
Take Care for now,
Quiltin_Kate

Welcome to the forum Kate!
I spent some time on a dairy farm in New Zealand when I lived there... it's a lot of work! I kept being told by my friend and his family that red wellies are going to scare the cows, but I held strong to my zing, did a great job and looked awesome doing it! If you ever find yourself heading to the midwest, let me know!
Woohoo!
