Hi all
i just wanted to quickly send out my first post. I have been clicking onto this group for almost a year now and decided it was high time i joined in..
We have been back on the family homeplace for about two years now and finally making our mark. We know nothing but the country life but long for living more simple..just piddlin around life in the hills of Kentucky..
I have one son who is 10. After surving public school we made the decision to homeschool and we are beginning our second year.
A new thing for us this year is helping my Dad with his 1950 allis chalmers antique tractor and attending shows..
I have many trades and love to can... our favorite is elderberry jelly and syrup... but the berries have been slim pickens this season in our kneck of the woods...
I so look forward to joining in and finding my way around the group and meeting the ever so many wonderful ladies.

Hi, Vickie! Always glad to welcome another Kentucky girl to the forum! There are quite a few of us on here by now. My farm is in Breckinridge County(Irvington), but my dh and I are living mostly in Louisville until next spring.
