I finally worked up the nerve to come to a chat site (or whatever it's called). i think i'll meet some like minded women on here. i live on a hobby farm where we raise most but not all of our own food. i wanted to do this since i was a child. most of my extended family owned farms or ranches (I'm a transplanted Texan living in a very rainy land), so this is truly a dream come true for me. i discovered Mary Jane's magazine a couple of years ago and have finally found a store that carries it on a regular basis. Glad to be here and I look forward to chatting with y'all.

wow, very nice welcome, thanks everyone. to answer a couple of questions: we live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, which is north of Vancouver. I'm originally from Dallas, and moved to Canada 17 years ago. I still miss Texas and go home regularly. I'll be going home soon, to see my family, go to the Fair and see the Stars play. It will be a welcome break, as probably like most of the women on here, getting away is a challenge at times. Only in the fall, after canning is done. Or in the spring, before the garden goes in and the young ones are born/hatched.

I was in the same boat as yourself a few days ago. First blog experience ever, but everyone is so nice and everyone is definitley like minded as well. I see you are from BC! It's so beautiful there. Which store holds Mary Jane's stuff? I can't seem to find anywhere in Canada, specifically Edmonton that carry's her stock.
Can you let me know where I might find this store or if it's online?
