Good morning everyone from the land of bluegrass, fast horses and mint juleps. I'm new to this site and already love it.
A little about myself- I live in the country, married for 40 years to the most wonderful man in the world, have 2 beautiful daughters and 5 wonderful grandchildren, ages 2 thru 20. I work in an assisted living home now but I worked for 30 years as a floral designer.
I found Mary Jane thru my sister who bought one of her books. Now subscribed to her magazine I look foward to getting it each month.
I have decided to build my own teardrop camper and travel wherever I want. I'm depending on you guys to give me some advise and ideas.
I hope to make some new friends and have some great fun on this site.
Have a wonderful day

Welcome Susan, from another Susan, there sure are a lot of us out there in the same age frame. Floral design sounds like a lot of fun. Do you grow a lot of your own flowers now? I worked for a while in a assisted living house, it can be challenging but it was funny how soon the clients seemed a lot more normal than a lot of people on the "outside". What is a teardrop camper?

I read Laura's post about Somerset & thought she meant Somerset, Manitoba, not Kentucky! That would have been way too weird (I'm only about an hour away from the Manitoba one :P ).

Welcome from another Kentucky girl, Susan, born and bred in the Bluegrass. I live in the northern part of the state.

So glad you found the forum--it's a great place for ideas--both to share and to learn, and you might find some good friends along the way.

Enjoy!

I was so glad to her from all of you. I'm from western Ky, about 50mi northeast of Ky lake. I've been to Somerset and I love that part of the state.
Cindy asked about the teadrop campers. There's no way I can descrbe one but you can log onto teardropcampers.org to see alot of pictures. It' good to hear from someone that has worked in assisted living. It's a real trip.

I also work in that line of work. I work for a big facility. It is a trip but I love it and wouldn't trade it for the world. If you get around this area again let me know. We could have lunch or something.

Hi, Susan. I spend part of my days in Jefferson County(Louisville) and the rest(best) part of my time in Breckinridge County(Irvington) working on our old farmhouse. It's always great to welcome another Kentucky girl to this forum. :)
