I went to a Homestead Fair that was wonderful a couple of days ago and bought a little seed packet of this and it makes the loofa to bathe with. just wondering if anyone else grows it.

I never thought of soap in them. That would be great. I bought a small package of seed and can't wait to try them this summer. I don't think I have ever seen the seed for sale before. Have you, Alee?

Really? I guess I never noticed before. I went into the herb shop and they had some dried and ready to use along with the little packets of seeds. How do you get the soap to stay inside the loofa?

I grow it almost every year with good success. It does have a long growing season. It's not hard to grow, one year my hubby went out and picked it thinking it was zucchini tho. It dries easily, I always give it away as a dish scrubbie or to clean veggies. It does need a trellis.
Forget buns of steel, I'd rather have buns of cinnamon!
