This past summer we grew the tastiest onions.

A few have gotten ahead of us and have started sprouting the green tops

Spring is a very long way off, but I hate to just throw these in the compost

Is there any way to put these to bed 'till next spring?

So far they are just sitting in a box lid growing

And is there also a way to freeze onion or can it be frozen at all
