Hi Apron loving sisters. I thought we might want to start a new topic similiar to the other Aprons and more that got so long and now fizzling out.
We have made so many wonderful friends by sharing about aprons. Let's keep doing it! hugs, Linda

Oh my goodness! I LOVE the Lola pattern!!! Will have to buy it next month when I have more free to spend cash. How adorable!!
Yesterday, I just felt so down and blue and went thrift store hopping and found two beautiful pieces of fabric that I'm trying to decide what kind of aprons to make them into! I have several patterns. I can't wait to see what they look like. Both of the fabrics are light and summer-y =)

I love the Lola apron - I'm working on an Emmeline apron from the same designer - thus far I do not have the skills to post pictures but my goal for January is to figure that out so hopefully soon I will have "visuals". I'm also planning to start a couple from the "A is for Apron" book. Amy Grace

I'll admit, I am addicted to making aprons and funny thing is... I had not made any for me, yet. I have a pattern that I use for making aprons to sell on my etsy. I searched high and low to find one that is just a wee bit "different" from all that I have seen made. I use the pattern from Indygo Junction, Inc., their Afternoon Tea Apron. I like mixing up various colors for one apron!

here is the link..I LOVE this apron!
I had to go look, Kerriann, because I remember Indygo Junction has awsome patterns. What we call "funky"! What colors are you using to make yours? I always use different fabrics for mine too...kind of like the country quilt look. |

I am thinking by looking at the detailed drawings we could make our own patterns up from what we have already or from free patterns. I have made some jumpers from apron patterns..very comfortable and cool in summer...I put a cool cotton blouse or t shirt under the jumper and made it long and wore summer sandals. I love jumpers.

Linda - that is such a good idea. I love the emmeline enough to modify for a dress. I love that Indygo Junction pattern too - will have to look for it....later. I am on a self-enforced moratorium on buying new patterns/fabric till I have used some of what I have. Amy Grace

I have bought aprons and then taken them apart for patterns. I made 5 for the SIL's for Christmas and the same one for a swap.

Hi all! I'm new to the site & I'm anxiously awaiting my membership package in the mail. I made this for my daughter out of an old nightgown & old T-shirt of hers. She loves pink camo. and couldn't bear to part with them! |

Diana, a quilt block makes a nice bib too. I did that for jumpers too....and also a long skirt I made out of some long pants...I covered the empty place in front with quilt squares. They make nice embelishments or pockets.

That's great Diana!! And Kyria what a cute idea. I'm thinking I'm going to cut out a couple more aprons today - it would be nice to always have something ready to sew Amy Grace
