Thanks Channah. I just wanted to make sure I use the right kind of yarn. Lillian, it does seem that everyone on the forum can either quilt, tat, knit or crochet. I guess it's a farmgirl thing! God's Blessings, Megan

I have probably been crocheting all of my adult life. I like to do yarn and thread crochet projects. My yarn ones are mostly afgans, scarves, flat pieces. Thread projects include doilys, bookmarks, etc. I have a cotton yarn shopping bag underway, would like to get that finished here soon. Marcie

I taught myself and can't even remember when that was. Something i've just always done. Let it go for a while, but have recently picked crocheting up again. Did the slippers from MJM for XMAS gifts last year. Working on some fun scarves for this year. I do wish I could find more patterns that were more than just afghans. I'd like to do some sweaters. I have one pattern for fingerless gloves I am trying. The first one didn't come out quite right, but that's ok.

I love crochet. I learned when a young adult and haven't stopped since. My favorite thing to make is ponchos...I have them in a few colors. One long warm generic color is worn often each spring and fall. I also make various colors of triangle shawls. Throw pillows are fun too. I like the washcloths made of cotton for use in my bath. I have way too many afghans. My living room ahs a big oval shaped rug that I made with 3 strands of yarn. It was made just big enough that it would still fit in regular washing machine. The hardest part was getting the increases even so it would lie flat...but with persistence I did it.
