Please check in! There's several of you out there and it would be great if we could all meet up sometime. If we all check in we could come up with some ideas on where and when. If we could all meet somewhere mid way, we could maybe start a chapter like Linda(grannypraying) suggested on another site. Hope you hear from all of you. Have a wonderful day.

Blessings, Brenda

Hey Connie glad you signed in. I just thought that it would be fun to find a place we all can connect. I have no idea how far you are from Kansas City. Do you? I just bet that Linda and Carol will want to do this. Let's just give it some time and see how many we can get. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Blessings, Brenda

Hi Carol, how are you doing? Sorry I've not gotten in touch for awhile, have been running to dr's. Appt's next 2 days. We still need to get together at the tearoom soon. Hopefully things around her will slow down some. I'm really glad that Connie has bloged on. I think we could get a good group going here. Will check on the heartland activities. Thanks,Brenda

Oh I'm so excited! Lets wait and see what Linda's chapter kit says to do. Then we can try getting things together. YEAH!!!

Linda I'm so glad that you ordered the chapter kit. If there's anything I can do, Please let me know. Have never been to the tearoom that Carol is talking about, but the one I go to in Greenwood, Mo. Is also attached to a antique shop and huge with booths. Then the little tearoomm off to the side. It's fixed up fancy/fancy so you really feel like a lady!! You can purchase a lunch which are things like quich, sm. sandwiches, bakery items and tea, etc. It's just a nice place for the girls to get together and chat.

Can't wait to actually meet you all in person!

Carol what time is dinner? I'll be there!

Lillian as soon as we know what steps that needs to be done, we'll email you right away!

Connie so excited that you are interested too! Be in touch soon!

Start getting ideas as to what you all think a chapter should do? We want to have fun!!!!!

Later farmgirl friends,
Brenda

Ladies! To request the kit I had to give a temp chapter name? Put down 'Prairie Girls', all I could think of in a pinch! Think about what might be some good names to agree upon?!

I like Prairie Girls! The name Scatter Girls just popped in my mind, because we are all scattered over Ks. and Mo. Come on girls, lets hear your thoughts on names! Thanks Linda for taking this on and getting the ball rolling.

I'm just south of Council Grove, but I work in Topeka. I'd love to meet farmgirls from KS and Missouri. both names sound good. I live in the tallgrass prairie - so prairie girls appeals to me, but I am definitely getting more and more scatterbrained as time goes on......

Hey girls!! I'd love to meet up with you guys! Looks like you are all pretty far north of me. I'm in SW Missouri, about 50 miles from the OK state line.

Sarah, I believe that Connie lives down your way. Check it out with her. I'm not certain about that far south. Let's just see who all signs up and see what we can do. What do you think Linda?

Agree, Brenda! Let's give it some more time and chances for people to sign on! If we are spread too far apart we can maybe get together every few months? Have a 'chapter' forum within the chapter chatter and henhouse here on the site for daily, weekly cyber get togethers?? What do you all think? Thoughts Brenda?

I think that we could all meet up on our henhouse and set up our details of the chapter and what each one's interest is. Then maybe try learning a new craft that one girl may like us to do. Maybe even start a book club where we check in each day. Then maybe a couple of times a year we plan a meeting to be together. That way we'd know in advance and could make plans to attend.Maybe even work on earning our badges. Oh I don't know, I could just keep going on about possiblies. What do all you girls think?

Judy, I am in Wichita. I totally know where Council Grove is as I had family there. How long have you lived there?

Linda:
I was born in Wichita and lived there until I was 12. My dad worked in aircraft and we lived on Ellis Ave - just south of MacArther and Hydraulic. I love to shop in Wichita. My favorite stores are in Bradley Fair. I have a Botanica membership. My husband and I enjoy the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon suppers - we usually attend something there every couple of months. I think I'm going to be able to attend the plant sale in April at Botanica. I'll also be coming down to the Quilt Show at Century II in June.
My dad grew up in Council Grove. We moved here 10 years ago. We live 1 mile south and 1 1/2 miles west of 4 mile road. We live on - the Weaver place - it takes a couple of generations before names get changed. Do you ever travel to Council Grove?

Brenda, I love your ideas!! Think it will be great fun!! Cannot wait for the info to get here to show us how to set this all up?! Judy, does your dad and family still live in Council Grove? Not sure where Bradley Fair is? I think my daughter took me to the botanical a year or so ago when I visited. The CenturyII is several blocks down fom me! Small world! Hey Ladies, let us know your thoughts about 'henhousing'?? Think we can have a lot of fun

The henhouse sounds like fun. Is it easy to find on the website? I'm not very savvy..... I'll need some instruction on how to find it.
Linda, my Aunt lived her entire life (94) in CG - she passed away 2 years ago. My dad is gone also. I have cousins from here who now live in Strong City.
