Hey girls I had a brain storm this morning. And it didn't hurt at all! hahaha How about starting up a little scrapbook, I'd be happy to start it and we could post our picture and a little story about ourselves, then pass along to the next girl on the list. When the last girl gets it, then she could send back to me and I'll start over again. That way we all can picture who were chatting with and get to know each other better. Then when we get the chapter started we'll be able to start some projects and post our pictures there. And when we get a chance to all meet up together the scrapbook will come with us. Let me know what you all think about this idea and if interested send me your information and I'll send out a email for all, so you'll know who we have on the list. As new one's join I'll just add her to our list and send her info to you. How about it? Looking forward to hearing from you. Here's the info. info I'll need:

ladies, what would you think of each of us doing our own scrapbook page, for the book, that relates to the town, city that we are in? Pics, postcards, drawings, stickers, etc that will give an idea as to what its like in our neck of the woods,so to speak? Then send them onto Brenda for the book? We could share them within the henhouse once we set that up and know more how and what we are doing?! Lol! Brenda, I love your scrapbook idea! Thoughts Ladies?

Brenda, I'm about 4hrs from Kansas City. I don't travel alot health issues. I was trying to find a location that would be central to most of us. The three locations I came up with are Emporia, Pittsburg or Iola all in Kansas. If anyone can come up with another location I'm open to suggestions. I know there are more things to do in Emporia and Pittsburg. When I googled Iola it mentioned Russell Stover Candy, not much else.
I like the idea of a chapter and either name is fine with me. A scrapbook is a nice idea, I would have to learn to put pictures on the computer.

Linda that was a great idea about everyone making a scrapbook page and send them to me. I will get my grandson to show me how to post each page on the blog. Then when we can get a date set to meet I can bring it for all to see in person.I could make copies of each page after I finish it and send to everyone. What do you all think about that. I am going to get all the address together and map it out and see where mid way would be. Connie are you s/w of Kansas City?

Connie, I got your e-mail and responded back. I mapped from where I am to where you are and it looks like about a 4 1/2 hour drive. But I've made most of that drive visiting clients in Cherokee, OK. 166 is a really nice drive. Pittsburg, KS would probably be the closest to me. And depending on when you guys decide to get together, I will definitely try to make it!

Linda again you and Brenda have got some great ideas the only thing I see wrong is you two are doing most of the cost of this thing on your own. Making copies, mailing etc. We need to do some more thinking as not to make this project heavy on any one person. I love the scrap book idea. Can we not do it on line. I do not know how yet to put pictures on this site and I do not know anything about a blog. I can do pictures on email and do up email spots. So I am sure we can come up with something that will be good and cheap. Only an idea. It seams some of the ladies I talk to all have money problems. If I am wrong shut me up. Friends to all Lilly

Lillian we won't be don't the scrapbook on line. We will be sending through the mail. If you want to make up a page or two about yourself and your town and interest and add pictures to you pages. Then you can mail your pages to me and I'll make up the original book. I am going to have grandson show me how to post all the pages to the Hen House once we get that started. Not sure if Linda has received the info yet. So in the mean time you can get started on your pages for the scrapbook. If you have any questions, please know that I want you to come to me with them. We'll try not to make this confusing and let it all be fun.

Ladies, sorry I have been out of the loop, medical appts, legal stuff for my mom. Been a crazy few days! Brenda, will get my info to you shortly! Ladies, in these times, do not want anyone to feel stress over this. I am on a fixed income myself! It can just be paper that lists facts/info about your area, your fav spots, stores, etc. If you want/can embelish it scrapwork style go for it! As for computer knowledge, I am the most clueless, believe me, lol! We can learn together! Still am waiting for the chapter info to arrive. For me personally, with health issues as well, I was hoping more towards fall for a big get together. I was also thinking maybe the ladies closer in Kansas, the ladies closer in Mo could meet maybe more often if wanted in their states? Whatever you all think? Sounds like we have a great group of ladies. I know we can have fun within our henhouse and in person! Blessings, Linda

Lillian and Viola, what of our areas are close for you? Viola, I love your area! Visited the Black Hills as a teen and I never forgot it! Have always wanted to go back there to live. Ladies, there is a chapter doing a trip mapping the Little House sites from Laura's books. Will try to get more info. That is in June and farmgirls can do the whole thing or meet up at specific sites closest to them for the day. Will get more info and post it tomorrow?

Hey Ladies

We just made the trip last summer for the first time. We took in the Pageant. It is a pleasant time. I am sure if we plan a trip we could hook up the camper and join you all. I can pick up some famous Praire Berry Wine for the local winery. My I am a green tea and coffee person.

Let me know.
